Now it’s time to head to your refrigerator and gather up those leftover cherries from your holiday drinks.
Plus, use up the rest of the over-purchased eggs.
Don’t forget that you have extra whipped topping from your gramma’s and aunts and mom bringing extra over for every party!
Ah, you’ve just basically grabbed some of the best ingredients and you will be using them up.

What You Will Need For This Recipe
Straight up easy kitchen essentials.
Grab a mixing bowl.
Then a wooden spoon and a rubber scraper.
Don’t forget a measuring cup.
You will also need your favorite cake pan.
Line that pan with a piece of prepped parchment paper (sprayed with non-stick lightly!)
Yeah, that’s pretty much it!
As always, preheating your oven is imperative to the recipe turning out properly.

After The Simple Chocolate Cherry Fudge Cake is Baked
Allow this cake to cook.
Serving it warm is great, but it has to rest about a half of an hour in order to not fall apart.
Plus, if you take it out too soon and eat it too warm, the whipped topping will turn to liquid.
Once it’s cooled, all rules are out.
Use a fork, and eat the whole thing if you like.
Trust me, after one bite, it’s hard to hold back.
It’s almost like a cherry-chocolate brownie, yet, it’s a cake.
The chewiness is a result of the prep, and again, I am a rule breaker for prep and it works!

Cherry Chatter
Take the stems off of the cherries.
Often, I also press against the cherries with a fork to make certain there are no pits, as you never know!
Also, I used Amarena Cherries because of their dark and rich consistency.
However, you can use any cherries you like.
And in the recipe, I’ll also share one other ingredient I added to flavor it up a bit more!
