This adventure led us to Hocking Hills in Ohio a truly remote destination. Cell phone service is ‘iffy’ at best, GPS signals don’t always light the path and if you are ready to just sign out of the tech world for a few days, then paradise is found.
We have found the perfect place to vacation as a family and to enjoy nature. My kids are all about adventure, zip-lining and everywhere we go they take in this fun sport.
To satisfy their never-ending pang for adventure and zip lining I had to figure out where to find the Best Zip Line Destination In Hocking Hills?
We had investigated a lot of possibilities and found that the destination we came up with is the best choice for our family because it also comes highly rated and Trip Advisor (best way to tell good from the bad). So, let’s get zipping and living travel out loud, as we head to the best zip line destination in Hocking Hills.
Best Zip Line Destination In Hocking Hills
The answer was easy because when you find a site that takes appointments, you know they are organized (and that is how I run my life). So we scheduled ourselves to go zip-lining at this awesome location in Hocking Hills.
The destination promised to soar above ravines, and gorges of up to 150 feet elevations and there are about 10 lines to zip on. My kids cannot wait to go zip lining over valleys and ravines in Hocking Hills.
I am sure you are curious where we went for the best zip line destination in Hocking Hills so now the secret is out: Soaring Cliffs. We were welcomed as guests of Soaring Cliffs, met the staff, and even after a medical situation (early on my son was quite ill, with an anaphylactic type reaction to a bite) we still were able to re-arrange getting onto the Zipline.
The actual location and GPS Address of Soaring Cliffs is 24719 Miller Rd, Rockbridge, OH 43149. Go online, make reservations because they book up fast and I can tell you why – the destination is truly an experience for those that are lovin’ on zip-lining.
Arrival At Best Zipline Destination in Hocking Hills
This is what you will see when you arrive at the destination, a large parking lot, the office, acres of woods, and the large chair perfect for photo opportunities.
We arrived to the top of the mountain and we found Soaring Hills. We parked in the parking lot and walk down towards the office. Of course, I wasn’t going to miss this photo opportunity and I stuck my boys on there and grab the photo before we checked in.
We checked in and the boys met their guides Brendan and Tim. It was nice to meet their guides upfront and I gave Brendan my son’s EpiPen’s. I quickly found out that they are fully trained for each type of emergency that might occur while they’re out on the zip line trails (that’s just one more thing off of my Mom Worry List)
The Staff
Our personal thanks to John for making everything work out, even after our crazy medical emergency this morning and for being a fabulous host!
First, you can see how alive and full of fun Brenda is HERE. We captured this video while the kids were zipping. Brendan is full of personality and made me feel so comfortable that I was fine my children were about to embark on an adventure without me because I am so afraid of heights. I got to follow for the first six trails and I took some outstanding pictures.

Even More Zip Lining Upside Down Goes My Son
One of the nicest things about Soaring Cliffs is the fact that you have to do nothing other than showing up in the outfit you in the latest and the greatest harnesses, and fresh helmets.
Information You Want To Know
While all the zip lining was going on, I was doing a bit of investigating and having some lengthy conversation with staff and the owner, John Bentley. I love to know how these places that we visit function, and interact, and I got a lot of great insight to help you make really good decisions about Zip Lining and Soaring Cliffs.
The helmets or replaced yearly or more often as needed, they are sterilized and cleanliness is certainly taking care of by the staff wait until you see.
Harnesses are replaced regularly and checked and the zip lines are also replaced every three years or more frequently as needed. They are completely compliant with all safety laws and each of the guides knows how to take a zip line apart and build it from the bottom up.
This is really important to know because it can impact your safety while you’re out there. The guy to have an understanding of how each zip line functions in what must work. This keeps things running smoothly and safely.
Your Job While At Soaring Cliffs
Your full job is to just hang out, relax and enjoy the ride because Soaring Cliffs has it all set up for you to take in the great location and scenery.
The guides attach each person to the zip line and all we had to do was take off. It’s all about the enjoyment factor everything else is taking care of you. Soaring Cliffs staff lets you focus on your time there and on the fun while they focus on everything else.
The Corn hole Drop
In this particular run when you zip across you get to drop the corn hole bag into the corn hole below. If that sounds easy it’s not as easy as it does sound.
My youngest loves corn hole and was totally enthralled with this particular run and he literally missed the wholeby inches. If you drop the cornhole bag into the whole while you are sitting by you win a T-shirt.
My kids love that they could take out the iPhone and take videos as they went along that made this truly extreme adventure. Of course ,they could use the go Pro camera is but what fun would that be when they don’t want to just from their head they also wanted it from other angles.
Bigfoot’s Cave
They had to a place called the Bigfoot’s cave and this area is a party on its own and it’s right before you had to 7,8,9, &B 10, and of course ,these are where you’re going to hit your highest elevations when your zip lining with Soaring Cliffs.
