What happens when you drink wine together stays inside the empty bottle.
Big Girls with Big Attitudes
My products were provided by Oriental Trading Company. DIY Project is my own.
Once a while back, I met some people that played Bunko, which they really referred to as, “Drunko.”
As a mom with kids, it has become harder to make new friends, but this group of ladies all had kids and took one day a week to themselves.
I wanted that too. Just one night to gather, chat, and have fun.
Their group was not penetrable so I had to find a group of friends who allowed people into their circle.
Ridiculous right, grown ladies being so snobbish and impudent, but they were.
Since I knew some other moms, we created our own Bunko group and sipped wine and played and talked.
Fun. Necessary and a great way to converse on life!
As we played, our wine glasses would move, because sometimes we sauntered to the center island.
Other times we moved to the grand room, and other times we were standing around the kitchens we were in.
Wine glasses take on a life of their own and somehow get swapped. Red is red in a sea of red wine glasses.
Well, that was not working. Drink a few glasses of wine and who’s who does not matter, but it really does.
That’s When It Started – The ‘I can make these wine glass markers’
Our glasses were getting mixed up and the DIY gal in me popped into action!
The next time we met, we were no at my house, rather, my friend Alice’s home.
I carried in a carton of supplies.
Gems, rings, trinkety charms and a 12 pack of stemware.
That night, before we played, we took about 15 minutes and created our own wine glass markers.
No more glass swapping by accident.
After all, if you didn’t wear lipstick you don’t want to apply it via a wine glass right?
Vintage is not cool when it comes to sharing used wine glasses.
Styling a Wine Glass Marker.
It’s not a new concept. Styling a wine glass marker is something that has been around for a long time.
Some use straws or lipstick marks, others use markers.
There’s no right or wrong way to mark a wine glass stem, but, you should do it.
Obviously, when you select your wine of choice, you don’t want someone else sipping it right?
Marking your wine glass stem says, “this is not yours!” Plain. Simple. Right to the point.
Well, this concept works great, unless you have the friend whos just drank too much wine and does not even notice the stem marker! LOL!
