Veggie Pizza Yummmmm!
This year, the one resolution you have made is that no matter how bad things get with timing, you are not going to eat junk food, but tonight you just are dying to make an exception.
Is there a way to eat a food that you might think is not the best choice but make it healthy and still satisfy the craving?
It is completely possible to make a junk food healthier, though you are not changing the fact that this meal is still a carb meal, you can just lessen the amount you eat.
Here is a veggie pizza that will have your mouth craving more after every bite.
You can eat your pizza with less sugars and less cholesterol, all while enjoying great crust that will crunch just right.
What do you need to make this easy pizza?
4 stalks of Asparagus (cleaned, and snapped into 3 pieces)
4 Artichoke hearts (cut into pieces)
1 Large Tomatoes sliced thin
1/4 of a Red Onion, Chopped Small
4 Strips of a Red Pepper, sliced into slices
1/2 C Of Olive Oil
1/4 C of Red Pepper Parmesan Cheese
1 Tsp of Sea Salt
1 Cup of Mozzarella
1 TBSP Of Feta
1 Pizza Shell (pre made is fine)
Use Olive oil to paint the shell, edge to edge. Glaze the shell with 2 Tbsp of the Red Pepper Parmesan Cheese. Add the tomato slices, spreading them evenly across the entire shell. Add the rest of the veggies, the cheeses, and the dash of salt.
Preheat oven to 325 and bake about 20 minutes until edges are golden brown.
This will serve perfect with a lemon salad, or field greens in a vinaigrette. You will have saved yourself calories, by avoiding all that cheese and sauce, and keeping it veggie based.
Enjoy the new year, hold fast to your resolutions of eating healthy and create this great pizza!
