It’s all ended too soon, margaritas poolside, wave jumping,  boogie boarding, early walks on the beach, boardwalk time, biking, touring and having a blast, and now it’s to pack up and head home.

The stank of dirty laundry is masked only by the big, plastic trash bags that are tied off and saving me from the stench of wet, sandy, sweaty and well-worn clothing.  Since the kids were in charge of packing up the dirty, I have that mother’s intuition that the wet bathing suits, and towels are tossed together.  I might even guess that the dirty undergarments from sweating in the sun, are mixed in with the clean laundry (if any survived).

Hello to the massive pile of laundry that is greeting my feet in the mudroom.  What was a happy vacation has suddenly turned into a turbulent warfare of stinky, sandy, dirty clothing from my family? Lavishly live some tips of the laundry survival guide after a vacation to ease up your return home travel!

Laundry Survival Guide After Vacation

When I find a great product, I love to share it so today I am happy to announce that I’m sharing #Tide in my life as part of a Tide sponsored series for Socialstars™.  I only share products and tips that I feel are relevant to all of you and I am sure that any parent that has taken a family on vacation will appreciate this find!

Tide, Tide Pods, Tide PODS® Plus Downy laundry detergent pacs, laundry, swimsuits, vacation, after vacation, sun, fun, beach, water, towels, sand, fading, color, pacs, easy to use, HE and Standard washer, any temperatur, clean, brighten, fight stains, protect clothes in wash, diy, vacation, travel, vacation tips, travel blog, traveling, adventure, family adventure, family laundry, wet and dirty laundry, wet and dirty vacation laundry, pungent laundry, rank laundry, wash, repeat, baskets, family, cleaning,LAUNDRY SURVIVAL GUIDE AFTER VACATION

Aren’t I the luckiest gal in the world, coming home from a relaxing vacation to a mountain of laundry? I mean, I could almost pinch myself with how ecstatic I am, but I do have something on my Team Laundry that will help me get this all cleaned up, in any temperature and clean while conditioning in one step! Drum roll please, or a pina colada, whichever you have closest! My secret laundry survival guide after vacation weapon are Tide PODS® Plus Downy laundry detergent pacs.

They Don’t Discriminate

Tide, Tide Pods, Tide PODS® Plus Downy laundry detergent pacs, laundry, swimsuits, vacation, after vacation, sun, fun, beach, water, towels, sand, fading, color, pacs, easy to use, HE and Standard washer, any temperatur, clean, brighten, fight stains, protect clothes in wash, diy, vacation, travel, vacation tips, travel blog, traveling, adventure, family adventure, family laundry, wet and dirty laundry, wet and dirty vacation laundry, pungent laundry, rank laundry, wash, repeat, baskets, family, cleaning,LAUNDRY SURVIVAL GUIDE AFTER VACATION

We just got a new high-efficiency washer and I am so glad to learn that Tide PODS® works with both high efficiency and standard washers because I had these left over from my old standard washer and was not sure that I could use them up! In fact, Tide PODS® Plus Downy is the first detergent pac that helps transform the washing machine into a safe place that cleans, conditions, protects the clothing you love.

I know that their favorite tops, bottoms, will get cleaned yet not be damaged in the wash because Tide PODS® Plus Downy protects clothes from damage in the wash! Remember for large loads you need to use 2 pacs not one.

Lavishly Undo That Wet Mess

Tide, Tide Pods, Tide PODS® Plus Downy laundry detergent pacs, laundry, swimsuits, vacation, after vacation, sun, fun, beach, water, towels, sand, fading, color, pacs, easy to use, HE and Standard washer, any temperatur, clean, brighten, fight stains, protect clothes in wash, diy, vacation, travel, vacation tips, travel blog, traveling, adventure, family adventure, family laundry, wet and dirty laundry, wet and dirty vacation laundry, pungent laundry, rank laundry, wash, repeat, baskets, family, cleaning,LAUNDRY SURVIVAL GUIDE AFTER VACATION

Before that wet mess of laundry starts to ramp up the stench, even more, it’s time to just dig in and get great cleaning results fast! Take out those swim trunks, those wet towels and separate delicates from rough and rumble (towels, tees, socks).

Grab your Tide PODS® Plus Downy laundry detergent pacs because you are about to enjoy great cleaning results when you use these 4-in-1 laundry packs.  Fight stains (oh the kids are famous for these untold treasures) and brighten those items that have been worn over and over and dirtied on up!  Toss the laundry detergent pac into the washer FIRST then put those towels in and get ready for clean, conditioned, non-stinky ROI! Suddenly I feel myself settling in from vacation again.

Ready. Set. Repeat!

The massive pile of laundry will begin to dwindle as you attack it load by load, but if I can suggest your next load, I might suggest those clothes worn bike riding, hiking, and walking the beach and barbecuing.  As these sit, they begin to inundate a smaller room with a lot of strong smell that can be best be described as a rank odor that is enough to make one gag! You are set and armed with your Tide® PODS™ Plus Downy® laundry detergent pacs because they will conquer smell, stains, cleansing and brightening all in one load! Remember to always keep pacs out of reach of children.

That’s A Laundry Basket Wrap Up

Now you have done it, quite simply, you have used the laundry survival guide after a vacation to conquer to oodles of dirty laundry from your vacation and you have survived! Now it’s time for the real vacation.  Call in the family and hand them each their own specialized ‘luggage basket’ tended to with love and have them put it all away! Lavishly live laundry out loud!

I love doing laundry! Yeah…contrary to what most people feel, I love cleaning, doing laundry, fixing stuff. And even after a long family getaway, I always look forward to washing my family’s clothes. Tide has always been a big help. I tried other detergents, but Tide has always been my favorite.

One of the comments mentioned disposable clothes. If only the environmental impact won’t be severe, I will surely agree with that! Until that technology becomes real though, Tide will remain my best friend.

I don’t usually do my own laundry and reading this made me realize that is is quite a chore! I usually just take my stuff to laundry shops. This product did get my interest though. Maybe it would make doing my laundry easy enough for me to do myself.

The product you are endorsing is really nice. Will it work properly in any kind of washing machine? The one I got in my flat is the one with a rotating bottom. Will it work on that or should I get a fully automated one?

This is really great advice for those who will be going on vacation. However, I think I can apply this in my dorm as well. I mean, I do my own laundry since I started college. Not exactly my favorite task. If this can make things easier for me, then I’d definitely give it a try! Thanks for the tips!

Laundry is one of the most difficult tasks for me and that too after a vacation it will be really hectic. My mother never leaves me or my brother to pack things up as we will surely mix the dirty ones with the clean clothes. It happened twice and mom just got furious. Those were good times though. We can divide that pile and wash it up day by day. By doing those we won’t feel tired.

You will not know the mountain of laundry piling up until the vacation is over. It is one of my worst nightmares to wash all the clothes after a long vacation. I mostly do it alone but sometimes I too enjoy that besides the hectic work. I will look at those clothes and remember all the happy times that we had with our family. So thinking about that will wear about the stress of having to wash a lot of clothes.

Doing the laundry makes me wish for the existence of disposable swimsuits and clothes. That way, I won’t have to carry too many things going to and from vacation. Wishful thinking I know. Plus, it may not be good for the environment. Oh well, if mom was able to live through it, so can I.

” What was a happy vacation has suddenly turned into a turbulent warfare of stinky, sandy, dirty clothing from my family” What I think that, if you like your mother happy after a good holiday, you might co-operate with your mom altogether to clean up the mess.
