Any homeowner that has a bathroom that has a mirror needs to read this article.

Today, I want to share with you, 5 Reasons To Frame Your Bathroom Mirror. I will show you how to get that designer look while doing your own mirror framing.
You will be Mirror Chic by the time you are done reading!
We began renovating our bathrooms in our home and the one thing that stood out or did no stand out was the mirror around the sink.
As a travel writer, who gets inspired by things I see as I travel, I noted that our bathroom lacked depth.
As I stay in endless upscale hotels, one thing that I always am drawn to is bathroom mirror designs.
It’s what truly accents the room, and adds ambiance. Simply put, I have been craving a framed bathroom mirror.
Truth be told it’s one of the simplest upgrades you can make in your bathroom, and the results are stunning!
5 Reasons To Frame Your Bathroom Mirror
My project was sponsored by Mirror Chic
For me, this project was about upcycling a mirror we just took out of our bathroom.
Its edges were ‘eh’ at best and I did not want to toss it out.
Instead, I recycled it and created a fabulous Living Room mirror using Mirror Chic framing.
Now, many of my friends have done the same to create framed mirrors, and I’ll share how below!
How To Get Mirror Chic
Think about your basic mirror about the sink.
I love my mirror, and I will tell you it is an integral part of my everyday life.
As we began remodeling, a few things were apparent to me: 1) small changes make head-turning appearances and 2) the item that can provide instant gratification is a frame and mirrors are the perfect pieces to frame!

The Frame You Order Matters ~ Frame Your Bathroom Mirror Right
Now, what we did not do is go old-school and bust out our own frame.
Hardly were we Mirror Chic when we started this process.
Now we have learned a lot, yet, I would still not design my own, we found a pro online and they make it easy!
We have now ordered 2x with the same company.
Why?
Because the company we found offers designer-quality frames, without the huge price tags.
Additionally, the company we chose does custom sizing because mirrors are NOT one size fits all!
Last, each frame has changed the appearance of our bathrooms and gives them the WOW factor we were seeking.
Before we started the process we measured, and we ordered samples for only $1 each and Mirror Chic pays for shipping!
All of that is great, but what really matters is the owner of Mirror Chic, Jim.
He will provide tips, tricks, and go the extra mile with communication to make sure YOU are so happy with your mirror.
That is what I like, and that is the kind of company we work with.
What Jim has is savvy, knowledge, and talent and he lends it to you, as you need help.
The installation is NOT hard, but sometimes you will have a question, and Jim is on it like White on Rice! Mirror Chic is Chic because of Jim.

1. Easy Bathroom Upgrade
Look at this mirror.
The clips show, the edges are raw, and the vanity is so much nicer than it is.
Blahhhhh.
Your bathroom is begging for an upgrade, what might it look like if you did?
I can show you but I have to prepare you, you are going to want this, so keep on scrolling.
Big changes come with small DIY projects.
One of my biggest mistakes in our first home was just dropping pictures anywhere I wanted in the house.
So while you might think just slapping up a few pictures in your bathroom is the change that makes a difference it will fail you on every level.
What I have learned through trial, error, and new home purchasing, is to take my time in making a decision and change pieces that are an integral part of a room.
Further, don’t take on a huge project, keep it easy, and let the results stun you!
Framing your mirror is an easy bathroom upgrade.
The mirror does not have to come off the wall, the frame will attach to the mirror!
Now here is the after. Adding on a Hudson in Espresso frame made a huge difference did it not?
I mean it looks coordinated and super professional now. I want to use this bathroom.
Frame Your Bathroom Mirror and Get a Finished Look
Another piece about the easy bathroom upgrade to consider is that framing a bare mirror gives it a finished touch look.
Large mirrors in bathrooms give a feeling of spaciousness, however, they are boring to look at unframed.
Once again, a quality, designer-looking frame will enhance it. (in Image, Hudson in Espresso)
It’s flawless right?
Does it just look like it was meant to be?
Perhaps you can’t really tell because you need to see the before and after together, I can do that, scroll down here, to see the crazy, amazing look!
But don’t stop here I have more to show you, it just keeps getting better and better!
2. Framing Makes Your Mirror Look Like A 5-Star Hotel
True that (I can’t believe I even wrote those words, but I did!
The difference between a basic hotel and a 5 Star is all about the decor, warmth, and depth of the room.
5-star hotels pay attention to intricate details, like frames around mirrors and better furnishings.
Make your mirror stand out, let it look like a 5-star hotel.
Every time you walk in, you can admire your handiwork.
The depth of the room looks different and your attention to detail is eye-catching.
It is truly that simple to get big results! (Milan in Distressed is the frame style here)
3. De-Silvering Sucks another Reason to Frame Your Bathroom Mirro
As any good homeowner can tell you, wear, tear, and age are key elements in motoring towards change.
Who wants an ugly, de-silvering mirror above their sinks.
The black edges of the mirror take away from the look of the bathroom, and can make it feel ‘scungy’.
I don’t care how much you clean your bathroom, the simple truth is when the mirror looks dirty the whole room looks dirty!
Framing your mirror will cover those de-silvering edges.
You will be covering the edges with a designer quality upgrade.
Framing your mirror saves you the cost of a new mirror, plus the time and labor of taking one down and putting one up!

4. Staging Your Home
You might recall I said, “our new house” well, we moved.
In our first home, we had to do a thing called staging to sell it.
It is common practice but done most effectively with some cosmetic changes.
Our bathroom was a nice bathroom, large, and spacious, but it had no POP in it!
So, our solution was adding in a designer-quality frame which added the WOW Factor we needed.
Prospective buyers were all commenting on how lovely the bathroom mirror was!
You need an edge in today’s market so a simple DIY will get you that edge!

5. Your Bathroom Vanities
Curious as to what you are looking at?
If it is not blatantly obvious, an ugly, mirror without a frame.
It has no game if you ask me, it’s just sitting there, yet the vanity is gorgeous and strong.
Until it meets its match the Del Mar in Black And Silver.
Suddenly it’s spanky and pops!
Love it! Don’t you?
When you upgrade your bathroom furniture, you will notice that wood vanities are all rather snappy looking.
The trend in bathroom vanities is towards sleek corners, strong-looking vanities, and beautiful counter-tops and hardware to match.
Your mirror is not that, but you can get there fast!
All you have to do is find the color scheme and frame that matches your bathroom vanity and everything will come together!
You will see that it looks so much better when it is all coordinated and the flow will appear better as well.
The Question You Have
Your one last question to me might be how to care for the frame and that is so easy to answer!
Just treat frame as you would a piece of furniture, no chemicals, just dust off or wipe with a lightly damp cloth.
Everything about framing our mirror has been easy and I hope these reasons help to inspire you to get that WOW factor in your bathroom and get Mirror Chic too! ~ DANA XO
