Yummy Beef Pot Pie ~ Top Crust Tip
Here’s one tip you don’t want to miss out on!
Vent the top crust.
By this I mean, look at my photo here and cut slits on the top crust to allow the pot pie to release steam as it cooks.
Additionally, it makes sure the crust on the inside is not soggy!
Roast Beef & Beef Pot Pie
Rather than cook down beef, or buy some gristly cheap cut of beef, I buy lunchmeat.
Roast beef at the deli is easy to use and already cooked.
Additionally, I can see if there is a large line of fat or marble that I don’t want and ask for a different brand.
Also, I can control the amount of meat needed, and not overbuy.
BONUS TIP for Yummy Beef Pot Pie BEEF
Last, I can choose from low sodium lunch meat which is another great option and I can buy it a few days ahead.
