I have a child that is the king of picky when it comes to eating. Smaller portions go over bigger, and easier ingredients win big smiles. Lucky for me I have created the easiest mini sandwich you can imagine. My creation of slider sandwiches is one of my most requested things for school lunches.
What I have learned as a mom is that if I push the kids to overeat or eat things they do not like, it gets wasted. However, sending less is better and they eat without waste. Ready for some lunchbox inspiration? Simplicity in lunch prep has never been easier when it comes to smaller portions for smaller hands. No longer will you cut bread into pieces to get small sizes! So here is the recipe for picky eaters all parents need!
Pepperoni and Cheese Slider sandwiches have endless topping options and can be used for parties, and holidays too. For today though, this recipe is for all those moms looking for a great back to school recipe that just a few ingredients till done! Who’s ready to lavishly live food out loud and create an easy school lunch recipes for lunchbox sliders in seconds?
Pepperoni and Cheese Slider Sandwiches
For years I have struggled with getting my youngest to eat a lunch. I will tell you I have tried everything from ‘smashing bread’ to make it small and thin to cutting sandwiches into ridiculously small pieces. Back to school lunches have been a drag, but I changed all that and I will help you with your picky eater!
Not only has the process driven me crazy, it also has been time-consuming. Then there is the other side of this story as well, the waste. My son would bring home what I spent 15 minutes creating in the morning because it was too big, or too small. Sometimes the pieces were just ugly, and I do not think I would have wanted them either.
Is there a lunchbox slider bun that exists to help me get back to school ready so I can sip my coffee and pack his lunch with ease? Yes, there is. What I found has forever changed my planning and packing of Mr. Picky Pants lunch. Get back to school-ready with Pepperidge Farm®Bakery Classics Slider Buns.

Pepperoni and Cheese Slider Sandwiches Recipe
Your ingredients are simple, look at how few. However, if your child prefers more veggies, load the sandwich, you are blessed. My son will not put many veggies in his mouth so I created this recipe around his preferences.
As I stated, the beauty of this recipe is its versatility as you can change the lunch meat, the veggies, the Slider Buns (sesame, Potato, etc)
INGREDIENTS
One 12 count Pack of your favorite flavor Pepperidge Farm® Bakery Classics Slider Buns
2 Pieces of sandwich pepperoni for every one slider.
Shredded iceberg lettuce (optional)
1 American Cheese slice for each slider
Cucumber slices (2-3 per slider)
METHOD
Place all your ingredients on the counter.
Open the Pepperidge Farm® Bakery Classics Slider Buns so they are ready to get dressed.
Use a glass or a small circle dish to cut the cheese into a small circle to fit the Slider Buns. After you cut the cheese into a circle, place it on one side of the Buns. Then add a piece of pepperoni.
On the opposing side place a piece of pepperoni.
Last, add the lettuce and the cucumber and then top it off with the other side of the bun.
Send Them Off
Now you can send your kids off with a great packed lunch, that is perfect for small hands and bellies! All you have to do is bag these up and send them out with the troops. The perfect-sized sandwich to fuel their day.
Remember, you can change the lunch meats, and veggies and keep that great little slider bun! Don’t forget to mark their bag with their name, it totally personalizes the back-to-school, ‘this belongs to me’ thing!
