How do you jet out of the water and balance above it? How about hover above the ocean and look down below?
We were off on a new adventure today, and we were visiting Roatan. We stopped to hang out at the beach,(West Bay Beach in Roatan) which offers crystal clear waters, lush palm trees, fun eateries, and bars as well as plenty of sunshine. What we found while we were there was a water sport we have not seen before and the kids were pretty mesmerized. I decided to quickly shoot some rough video so I could share with you exactly what was going on.
West Bay Beach Roatan
This guy was on Water Jet Packs, he hovered above the water. The water is perfect for this activity in Roatan as you can see and this looks like a ton of fun. The water jet packs are attached to your feet, and it is powered by a jet ski, something cool to watch. As you can see, the guy was powered above the water by a pillar of water. When he falls the force of the jet ski continues and I assure you he will fall hard. Now, consider this…. there is coral close to shore here, and well, you can just start thinking about all the stuff that can happen to the inexperienced, the inebriated, and of course the coral.
There were people trying this out, but if you don’t like heights or feeling slightly out of control, this may not be for you! Also take into consideration my other mentions that play into this ‘sport’. Here’s to lavishly living out loud, seeing Jet Packs in action, in Roatan, Honduras. Travel is so much fun!
