. Have you considered the 1 Thing The Coronavirus guarantees everyone?
The stores are mayhem, maybe I’ve been too cavalier and should term shopping chaotic.
People are swiping all the toilet paper off the shelves, and bottled water.
Pure pandemonium.
Trips and flights are all subject to change on a day-to-day basis.
At work, your daily meetings cease.
Why? Someone in the group ‘might have been exposed’ to the Coronavirus.
Of course, what follows is the fact that WHO officially termed this great big virus mess a Pandemic.
It’s with an abundance of caution that life is changing all around us and creating new circumstances.
The opaqueness of this virus is challenging to everyone at any age.
Initially, could it be that much misinformation started out as misconceived notions?
Really was there ever a great explanation of COVID19- vs. Coronavirus.
It was just taken for granted everyone understood. Did you?
1 Thing The Coronavirus Guarantees Everyone
Now, let’s dehumanize this whole Coronavirus thing, it’s affecting everyone to prove a point, not to be mean.
As the daunting Coronavirus spreads, Gen Z, Millenials, Gen X and Boomers ALL are in its path.
It’s not about a race, color, or religion! Imagine that!
One group is not safer than another, even if the virus is preying on the elderly, younger are still at risk.
Dehumanizing is not kind, but it is being used in this pretense to show that there is 1 thing the Coronavirus guarantees everyone.
Have you figured it out yet?
While You Might Not Get Exposed to The Virus,……
Overall, the Coronavirus guarantees everyone exposure to something they really never wanted to come into contact with.
However, that’s not where this article ends.
After all, that is just kind of a given right?
Many are running around with a tempered, aggravated, attitudes, agitated as there are no clear next steps.
Handwashing, fecal matter, sneezing, what is it? How is it spreading?
Why is this spreading faster in Italy?
It’s so confusing for all of us.
So we are guaranteed uncertainty, misinformation, and confusion.
Coronavirus Guarantees Crashing Stockmarkets
The stock market is all over the place as industries like travel are down, while cleaning goods are up.
Oil prices are down, and the stock market board is like a shot of low blood pressure to high blood pressure over and over.
Turbulent trade, strange markets, and different news each day offers a guarantee of crazy turnouts daily.
Best Advice: brace for the worst, and hope for the best.
Pandemonium is ruling the global economy.
Coronavirus Guarantees New Workplace Issues For All Workers
It’s not a birth, so it is not maternity leave, what kind of leave will this fall under?
Short-term disability? Is it paid leave of any sort?
What if you don’t have any options and must be off?
Are there rules in place for a Pandemic?
Will you lose your job if you can’t come in because you are ill with the coronavirus?
What if your family is ill and you have to stay home to help them?
Is your job one that you might be allowed to be off for extended illness, without guarantee of exact same job upon return?
Lots of unchartered territories here.
Coronavirus And Education – The Gray, Undefined Area, NO One is talking About.
The Coronavirus guarantees everyone a bit of unforeseen mayhem.
Colleges, universities, and private schools are being closed.
While it is mandatory to try to STOP the spread of the Coronavirus, what happens next is the big gray area.
You’ve packed your kids up, from the new year celebrations at home, sent them back to college, paid the tuition and now, they are coming back home.
WAIT a minute.
No dorm room lodging, no school access, and all classes are digital and online
Great. Safety first and all the rest of this later.
But I want to TALK about it NOW.
We are paying a pretty price for room and board.
What is going to happen to that?
Schools that are already on Spring Break are not having the kids come back to campus.
When will they get their belongings?
Exactly how will the tuition be adjusted for meal plans, and board?
Or will it NOT be adjusted.
Should we even be concerned with this right now?
IT is a concern as college is not cheap, and payments had to be made, so what happens next really matters.
Will students be refunded by colleges and universities for the months the students won’t be there for room and board?
Add that thought to your list of what the Coronavirus guarantees.
You Are About To Be One Happy Family
With schools closing all around from elementary to college, home is where everyone comes!
Your kids are going to impact your life and it is not going to be easy.
The adjustment of kids living full time at home, when they have been living on their own is not easy during short stents like the holidays.
Now triple the time because they do not have college housing.
You are about to be one big happy family again.
This is going to impact your water, electricity, and food bills.
For some, this is devastating and not in the budget.
Others are just annoyed as their homes were different and they had adjusted to living solo.
Yet others will welcome the family life right back in and meet it with large grins.
Where will you fall? Everything will be different.
However, education will continue so quiet time will need to exist for some, while others like it loud.
Almost a ‘dare you to survive in your own home as a family moment’ right?
Who is going to stay home to take care of your elementary kids?
What will you do?
There’s so much to consider and plan for, fast!
Why? Because the actions that are happening, just appear FAST.
Social Me That
Add into the entire mess, inaccurate messaging on social media and invalid information on the coronavirus.
In case it is not crystal clear, it’s like a perfect storm creating conditions of panic.
Translated of course into stockpiling, fear, anxiety, and dehumanizing name-calling that Twitter is BANNING.
Social media from Twitter to Facebook and every media in between is being used to communicate up-to-the-minute breaking details.
Yet, some of the information is twisted, wrong and just adds to the issues on the market issues, shopping problems, and problems in families.
A family member releases info that their family is infected, which starts the ball rolling for everyone else in the family who may not have EVER been in contact.
Now gossip starts. You see the whole thing snowballing right?
Ranting and raving at the CDC, and WHO.
They did not create the virus, why are you hollering at them.
Better yet, why are you taking to the internet to get mad at your state senators, mayors, etc for reinforcing what has been stated?
Truly that is NOT the purpose of social media.
Now, of course, the MEDIA Is sensationalizing everything going on, which has led to shortages on all kinds of supplies.
Internet & Its Role in the Coronavirus Spread
Without the internet, and WiFi, and all the digital tech, education would just have to stop.
But, today’s tech allows education to continue online.
Therefore, it is a mild inconvenience, requiring relocation factors for students at over 200 different colleges and universities.
However, while on the campus or not, it’s more as an abundance of caution measures.
The idea is to hopefully, ‘miss’ spreading illness that spread easily and fast.
Education from home is the solution.
It is possible because of our well-established internet.
Years ago, this would not have been possible, so this is a PLUS.
Conversely, with the internet, there’s also a bad side and again, there’s the social aspect which is part of the internet.
News that is false and of course scammers, and spammers attempting to prey on anyone and everyone they can contact.
eBay sellers with masks and sanitizer prices so high they’ve made the news.
Amazon sellers sucking the blood out of you for supplies as well.
Suddenly, the Coronavirus guarantees everyone that uses the internet to become an enabler or welcome a scam into their home with price gouging.
Sensitization of the virus, worry and frustration give way to over-spending to ‘protect’ their families.
1 Thing The Coronavirus Guarantees Everyone is that ⇓ ⇓ ⇓ ⇓
You can’t escape the impact. That’s the 1 thing that the Coronavirus guarantees everyone, everywhere.
The Coronavirus guarantees that everyone will be affected in some way: work, school, travel, purchases, stock market investments, loss of jobs, life and health.
There are 2 sides to everything. Good and Bad.
Manage your social media temptations and don’t just blab things, or state what you don’t know.
Consider that we ALL play a part in the spread of the virus and Quashing it!
The Coronavirus is not about a generation (Gen X, Gen Z, etc), a group, a person, a color, or a religion.
It is a freakin’ virus destined to continue to change our lives if not stopped.
Stop. Breathe. Think. We are rational human beings.
Prepare yourself mentally for what is happening.
Believe only 1/2 of what you read, and check the CDC website.
Be careful when opening ALL emails referencing the Coronavirus, so you don’t fall victim to a scam.
Embrace family moments as much as possible.
Have discussions in-house about how everyone is feeling and see what each person needs.
Support others.
Smile. We can still do that.
Our world is ours as long as we embrace the fact that the impact will affect everyone. ~ Dana XO
