Theme Your Independence Day Party
My sister-in-law loves the Fourth of July and every year if you don’t get all dressed up in American-themed dress clothing you can’t attend. From socks to shorts, tees, and nail polish she makes sure we all do our part to pay homage to patriotism. She is so over-the-top she even middle-named her child ‘ Nation’!
Dress up like Ben Franklin, get outfitted in America’s colors, and maybe get even more creative if you spotted these American flag pants.
If it’s a pool party, sport the red, white, and blue on bikinis, and towels accompanied by fun Fourth Of July because it is the day of loving in the USA. Keep the color fabulous and the fun flowing around the pool. Tuck a few of these on the chairs.
All of your family will use them during cooler nights of the 4th of July or after plunging in the pool. You can even use these as gifts for those that use them, tell them to take them home!
A Little Artistic Creation Is Great
Let the kids craft. Having a party is great if you can manage the kids and adults. Kids love to color, and craft so set up a craft table filled with stuff to create American flag projects. You will need some simple supplies like crafting paper, glue, markers, and the results will be busy little kiddos.
Sparkling Pipe Cleaner is perfect for all of those faux sparklers. Check out Pinterest for some great designs. These crafts easy, require no scissors and no flame! Kid-friendly and perfect. Metallic Sparkling Pipe Cleaner is ingenious!
Other Great Kid Ideas & Easy Decor
As for easy decor, does it get easier than this pack I found with everything Flag Themed? Probably not, so set this out and let everyone take their favorite pieces!
If you are not a fan of setup and cleanup of crafts keep the kids laughing and cool in the summer sun with an Uncle Sam cutout. Kids and adults alike can take their turns slipping their heads into the cut-out hole while onlookers can toss soft water balloons to try and splash them.
Food Should Colorfully Celebrate the Day
Is there anything more American than a good, old-fashioned backyard barbecue? Backyard barbecues are infamous for the wafting smells and sounds of happy guests milling about, and it lets me reminisce about childhood and summer’s past.
Add a little elegance or old-time charm to your party by grabbing a small menu chalkboard and outline your barbecue offerings for the day. Guests love to know the treats that are upcoming.
Food Stations
If you’ll be having a lot of guests with varied cooking style preferences, you can also designate various areas of the table by tenderness and cooking time. One section could be rare, another medium, and yet another well done. Guests will appreciate your attention to detail and the grill master will have fun showing off his or her skills.
BEVERAGES For The 4th Of July Party
When it comes to beverages if you’ll be offering alcoholic options, why not reflect the special occasion by putting together some special cocktail offerings made specifically for the occasion?
It’s time to get creative and use those blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Champagne is a great mixer, and of course, festive colored plastic patriotic glasses that are disposable are a must.
If you have guests that are beer lovers, consider serving only the best of American craft beers and classic hoppy offerings your guests will love to guzzle.
Bring On The Adult Games – Corn Hole
Adults like to mingle and mix it up just as much as the kids, so why not set up some adult fun? Corn hole, horseshoes, bocce ball, cards, and of course beer pong all work well!
