The Real Deal – Plant-Based Protein Smoothie You Will Love ♥
Let me start with this tidbit of information and you can see it again in the photos throughout to confirm.
There are 20g of protein in every scoop of this healthy smoothie powder!
First, let’s talk about plant-based protein powder.
I have tried so many and YUCK to most.
Additionally, I have tried many pre-made as well.
Generally, I avoid premade as there are additives and preservatives and that’s NOT the point of a freshly-prepped smoothie right?
So I changed the plant protein I was using.
The original plant protein I was using was leaving an aftertaste and well,
I am done with that!
Then I experimented with many different proteins. In fact, I even borrowed a few scoops of many different kinds from so many friends so I didn’t have to invest in them in case I despised them which I did!
Finally, I struck gold when I went to a store, Googled a product, and read its reviews! Lightening in a powder!
Here’s the plant-based protein smoothie powder I am gushing about!
Order it while you keep reading to grab my recipe.
Now, the protein is just powder.
But it’s changed my world of protein drinks and it does not have a funky smell or taste.
There is ONLY one thing you need to know, that makes or breaks using this plant-based smoothie powder and I will share that now!
How To Make The Best Plant-Based Protein Smoothie without Gunk Chunks
If you have ever used protein powder you know it’s infamous for not mixing in.
Really there is a method to the madness.
And if you tell me that you’ve never had this issue, “liar, liar” because no matter the powder gunk chunks.
Here’s how to create a smoothie without gunk chunks as I refer to it!
- First, layer in whatever you are using but NOT the powder.
- if you like berries and spinach or kale, put them in first.
- Then you’ll want to add in your choice of liquid. For me, it’s Oatmeal, almond, or coconut milk, I am always changing it up for a taste!
- After all that is in the smoothie mixer, add in the powder and lock the lid on!
- if you are using a hand shaker, then lid up, and shake that baby!
Trust me, this plant-based protein smoothie mixes well but who the hell wants gunks and chunks of it while they are drinking? NOT me!
Always add the powder at the top of the mixer!
Enough said or you will gag on dry and nasty!
My Personal Recipe – I am a Texture Girl
To avoid smoothness, which I can not drink, chug, etc., I add berries. Not just a few, a cup.
Getting texture means, berries, raspberries, strawberries, and not overmixing so there are a few chunks of those berries.
The spinach or kale goes towards the top too because I prefer to never crunch on a piece of it in a smoothie (just preference!)
What color Do You Want Your Plant-Based Protein SMoothie To BE?
Me, I’m all about the color in my cup, and if it’s not pretty I am not drinking it.
Green? Nope. (but sometimes I make that too)
Purple OH YEA!
Pink.?
Absolutely.
You don’t need to be a chemist to get this to happen.
Hot TIPS to Easily Make Your Protein Smoothie Purple or Pink
All you need to do is add more of the blackberries and blueberries to make a purple ‘ish’ plant-based protein smoothie.
If you love pink and red, add in more raspberries and strawberries to get that fabulous pink.

Also, this is perfect for your friends, partner, or anyone that you want to surprise with a protein drink that is pink for Valentine’s or Easter!
So many of the people I surround myself with only want protein-based drinks and if I want to bring something to them, it needs to have protein in it.
So, make it with the below recipe for pink and purple fun!
Eye Appeal Gifts this protein-loaded shake a bit more umph
How do you make this an even happier eye to mouth to stomach moment?
Kick up the eye appeal.
You’ve rid the gunk chunk and you’ve got nothing but healthy in your hand.
The next thing you can do to add more eye appeal is to simply serve it in a fancy glass with a straw.
You could also use any of the following:
- a glass straw
- a staineless steel straw
- paper decorated straws
- tall glass
- short glass
- ice cubes tossed in at the end
- clear glass
- decorated glasses
You get the idea.
Live up that 20g of protein smoothie in your hand and celebrate your healthy choice.
Of course, you can do what I do and it’s called this:
Make.
Drink.
Chug.
Because time keeps on moving and so do I!
Which is just another testament to the fact that the smoothie doesn’t suck as I just make and drink and don’t care about the vessel it’s in and transporting it from my eyes to my mouth to my belly!
