Beachfront Dining In Port Clinton With Awesome Eats
Alright, there are a lot of choices for food when you are in Port Clinton, Ohio, but trust me on this, not all are equal. We have spent a fair share of time in the area, and we fell in love with the beachfront dining we happened upon.
My son has severe food allergies, I do not eat meat, and my other son is a rib-sucking connoisseur kind-of-teen! We all ate here and gave it thumbs up for yum, and I personally love the bar drinks too, so beachy!
You are right on the southern shore of Lake Erie, and super close to historic downtown Port Clinton (walkable). Beachfront dining includes an outside deck, music, a full bar and a staff that seriously is just crazy good!
Lavishly live travel and food out loud and make sure to stop at this beachfront dining in Port Clinton with awesome eats so you can kick back and relax beach style!
Beachfront Dining In Port Clinton With Awesome Eats
As we walked along the pathway from the parking lot, I knew this was going to be our go-to place forever after. The light music, gabbing and happy patrons, and beautiful drinks were at the forefront of our find.
We sat outside, on the deck, and enjoyed the water and the food. My first discussion was with the GM On duty about my son’s food allergies, and she was so easy and accommodating! I decided to relax and reward myself for a day of driving here with a delicious beverage!
You will not find another restaurant, with a deck, bar, inside and outside dining on the beach in the area, and that is that. So if you want beachside dining, stop your car or you will miss it.
There is plenty of seating and it does get very busy, but the staff is very on top of it. Do plan your timing if you can and get there before peak grazing time, (lol) or shortly thereafter. But the real upside is the view and the vacation vibe you experience here. I bet you will forget you are in Ohio and not in Florida or another beach town.
The beach and lake are in FULL view, it is the one and the only place in Port Clinton offering this feature, so enjoy! Who’s ready for more?
Big Chairs For Great Pics
What getaway is complete without those fun pics? Dock’s Beach House has it all ready for you. Just mosey to the chair and take your picture. It’s really fun. We all did it!
I am a firm believer in a ‘starter’ or an ‘appetizer’ because these will either turn you on or turn you off from the experience you are about to have. Nacho platters are the best, but nachos and a dip are even better. We dipped, dipped and dipped some more, it was that good. If the chips and chicken dip are on the menu, get it!
Let’s start here because so many people have food allergies and my son is one of them. In fact, he has so many food allergies sometimes we wonder how he is going to survive. Here Where Niko Travels dined on Burgers and chips and a lovely salad!
The GM spoke with us at the beginning and from there it was fast and easy. I never worried because they restated what I stated for food allergies and marked them down. End of it. Oh, you might laugh about salad being allergen friendly but from the croutons to the glove prep it all matters (latex) and nuts. He happily ate it all!
The Rib Conneseur MJ
See the slip of paper on the menus? The slip of paper is how you learn the specials. We ordered from there for 2/3 mals and were very pleased. Portions are more than sufficient and no matter how busy they are the service just keeps up with it because the servers are spot on in task.
My teen is hungry all the time, gee that’s something different right? So, he ordered the Daily Special, which was Chipotle Ribs with fries and coleslaw it was only $14 and it filled his belly. Yes, the ribs were delicious, the fries were golden not burned and it was all finger-licking good!
There’s a full menu of drinks, just ask about the specials. I wish I could tell you the names of the drink I enjoyed, just show them this picture and order it, because it was so beach perfect. Cool, refreshing and beachside sipping, that’s how I like my getaways, how about you? Tropical in a non-tropical state, lol!
Crab and Shrimp Steampot.
So my treat to myself was this decadent steampot. Boiled shrimp and crab legs, potatoes, and corn. The seasoning was not overdone, the portion was kick-ass crazy good and sorry to admit this, I ate it all! Yes, I can eat when food is good and this was sumptuous and perfect for our beachside dining experience.
Vacation Calories Don’t Count
I am a firm believer that vacation calories don’t count. We walk them off, we run around, we swim and we never stop. Please do not disillusion me now, because this dessert was calling me. Thus, vacation calories don’t count in MY world!
Was the Key Lime Pie, delish? Yeah, that is why it was attacked right after this photo and that was the end of the story! We ate, every last morsel of it! A perfect way to end the dining experience, but wait, there’s more!
