Boneless Honey Glazed Ham in the Instant Pot
I have had an obsession with pressure cookers since I can’t remember when.
In fact, I believe the very thought of how possibly dangerous they can be, is what first intrigued me to investigate them.
I have used stove pressure cookers, electric pressure cookers and then the pressure cooker delivered from the cooking angels above…. The Instant Pot. Honestly, I have never found an appliance to be as useful, easy and safe to use as this electric pressure cooker.
Traditional electric pressure cookers and stove-top pressure cookers a thing of the past!
Pressure cooking really brings out the best in all foods cooked within the appliance.
In this post, you will find one of my Instant Pot Ham Recipes. This is a small boneless ham that is SLICED before preparing.

I have done up to 7 Pounds. If they are really round and perfect, (some times I take my liner with me from the Instant Pot to make sure, I will buy up to 8 pounds if it fits.
I make certain the ham never goes above the Max Fill Line!
Honey Glazed Ham In an Instant Pot
So the pros and cons about making a Honey-glazed Ham in AN Instant Pot.
TO be honest, I can’t find anything bad about making ham in an Instant Pot except, the timing.
Every ham is different, some are sliced some are not. You can add extra water to ensure moisture and slice it ahead.
I never STUFF a ham inside the pot, it does not work.
Generally, I use the same size ham every time. How many times have we made this ham is the biggest question?
Consistency matters so before I PUBLISH a recipe at least 15 times, then after that, we’ve made it 100x.
It’s requested and my TAKE WITH recipe no matter where we go. Sometimes I prep it and take the IP along with me.
Cooking it at the final destination is easier than toting a juicy, messy honey-glazed mess right?
Bone-In
If you are going the Bone-In route, read my other recipe for a Honey-Glazed Ham Bone-In.
We’ve done that recipe over and over with FABULOUS results.
The Ham And Making a Honey Glazed Ham In An Instant Pot
Inconsistencies happen. IF your ham is bigger or smaller you need to adjust your time.
I’ve heard a lot of people say their hame was not warm enough. Did you insulate it too much with the foil?
Did you let it cook and how did you release the ham?
You can let the ham cook longer if you like, that will work. Just make sure to have enough water in the base of the Instant Pot.
Why slice the ham ahead? Slice it or buy a spiral-sliced to let the glaze seep in as it heats.
Don’t foil pack the ham. Just glaze it. Then cook it on LOW for 30-35 minutes. – That’s something I have done over and over.
I published this recipe to give you ideas, tips, and tricks. Most use it as a springboard to the next step.
There are no bad hams. Try away.

Release the foil as soon as you can in order to let the Glaze set up. Watch you do not get burned when you open the foil.
