Going on a trip of a lifetime to the Vegas area is something many of us dream of. I just got back and I would have what we would consider a million dollar itinerary. From the moment we landed in Vegas, until the moment we came boarded our plane back to Pittsburgh, our trip was priceless.
Vow renewal was at the top of my list and I wanted to be with Elvis just to be different for us and memorable. After all, Elvis is the wedding officiant of choice in Vegas. Where better to renew vows than Vegas baby?
From a limo ride to a bouquet of flowers and a ceremony with laughter, tears, and a fun photos, it’s a Vegas-style vow renewal all the way! Here’s my story of the best vow renewal in Vegas as I lavishly live travel and life out loud!
Best Vow Renewal In Vegas
Our vow renewal in Vegas was going to center around that famed Elvis wedding that you have seen in movies like Fools Rush In. We were ready for a fun and light-hearted vow renewal. For me, it was a chance to dress up and be a bride again.
From the moment we started planning with Graceland Wedding Chapel I knew we made the right decision. Our schedule was crazy busy and they were crazy flexible.
Do you see my face in the photo above? I have had so much fun, I can’t wait to share it with everyone, so you can too!
Planning With A Call & Online Ease
First read online all of the great options. Are you having friends and family? What about photography. Do you want a bouquet? How about a limo? Is Elvis going to be the officiant? Is Elvis going to be part of the wedding? What do you want your time to be like? Options are not one thing you have to worry about, there are plenty. Something for new brides to those of us that are Brides again! Personally, I appreciate when a place runs on time. Graceland Wedding Chapel runs on time and they don’t push you into anything YOU don’t want. The Graceland Wedding Chapel is world-famous, as ELVIS has been on Oprah, he performed the first wedding ever at the TMobile Arena (funny we were at that inaugural wedding by chance the night before). I just think it was meant to be that we renewed our vows here, simply no other explanation. Graceland Wedding Chapel has been visited by so many famous celebrities and icons, marrying, renewing vows or just visiting where their colleagues have been. Truly an iconic stop in Vegas if you are not getting married, or vows you definitely want to see the chapel. If you are ready to renew or get married, schedule that!
The Limo
I am so glad we limo opted to get to the chapel. Yes, you can drive there and there is a parking lot, but the traffic is crazy nuts. Our limo ride was from the Trump Hotel to the Graceland Wedding Chapel. I did not want to be harried and scattered and driving off to renew our vows.
It is best to be on time and go in style and after all, I am about Adventure. Eat. DIY. Repeat.. What a statement to make arriving in a limo and being picked up in a limo.
Our amazing and wonderful driver Roberto picked up punctually at 3 p.m. from the Trump hotel. We then proceeded to downtown Las Vegas. There we saw the Graceland Wedding Chapel for the first time. I was so excited I began to get tears in my eyes.
Were they Tears of Joy or Tears of excitement? TBD to more years of marriage LOL
Roberto helped us inside and we were greeted and helped with my bouquet and Michael’s boutonniere.
Elvis has entered the building
You know I am not that wild person that you might imagine, but I wanted to have the best time with the vow renewal. We had attempted to set this up and Puerto Vallarta but it never worked so when we worked it out for Vegas and suddenly it just all came together.
Our schedule was a nightmare and logistically I never thought it would happen, but it did. We managed to make it to the chapel.
Vegas Baby Vow Renewals
Then there was that moment when I saw Elvis and lost it. A few tears of excitement, as I was overcome by all the craziness and then he sang. Yeah, he really can and Yeah Elvis (the impersonator) is really good. I swear Elvis was really there. From his incredible voice to his humor and all of the fun poses we did along the way.
The Ceremony
First we exchanged vows if only I could get through this without a tear in my eye but after all marrying the love of my life all over again was exciting. And then the fun began!
While I loved our original wedding, this version was so quirky and fun, I would love to do it again, with our families. They would have a great time too!
Elvis has quite the personality and pictures are about to go crazy,
so get ready to smile, and laugh. Here are a few looks at us with Elvis.
We sang with Elvis, we repeated what Elvis said and we laughed at hysterical comedy one-liners.
I had the time of my life can you tell?
Our time here was about smiling, remembering and just having fun. I loved that it was so full of frill and so easy. Times like this are what you celebrate and look back at and say, ‘Yes, our life was fun!’ Of course, I also think of this when life is not so easy. We all need this kind of fun. Smiling is the best way to share that we had that much fun and you can see it!
And there were these 2 moments, perhaps my favorite ever. Fun. Fabulous. Hysterical and the, “I can’t believe we did this” moment. It is not how we normally are. A lot of people we know were questioning us for doing this. Why?
Because they forget that half of being an adult and being married is about having tons of fun, not just the parenting and issue dealing we have to do on a day-to-day basis! We get it, and we would do this again and again and again !
Photos
Bring your camera and your friends. Use their photographer, capture any moment you can! Use your camera outside to live it up against the Vegas signs and let their photographer take care of your vows inside and some outside!
When all was said and done we headed back out of the chapel with a certificate in our hands and an official certificate from Elvis and Priscilla’s wedding. From start to finish this is the best vow renewal service in Vegas you could hope for!
Our photographer was great, snapped quick and everything turned out fabulous and I generally not a fan of photos of myself. If I am telling you that I liked a photographer, this is a big deal because I have not approved 99% of any photos taken by a photographer since my Redbook Photo Shoot a few years back!
Our Driver
Our driver was Roberto. He picked us up, dropped us off, and then returned us to the hotel. In addition, he took some extra photos for us and was really fun! It is just that fabulous and simple working with Graceland Wedding Chapel.
Each and every person we came into contact with was a pro. Plain. Truth. Great! By the way, we were not drinking before this, so these are not drunken, crazy stories, just real life, based on what happened!
Before we left Roberto offered to take a few more photos and they were nothing short of amazing.
We were then escorted back to the hotel via limo and headed to our luxury hotel to cheer on our new vow renewal at the DJ T Bar.
And that is my story of lavishly living the best vow renewal in Vegas out loud.
Our vow renewal was hosted by Graceland Wedding Chapel, thoughts are my own based on my personal experience, that was worth a million bucks!
You have to experience this if you are there. ~DANA XO
