Travel is exhausting and the last thing I want to be bothered with when I arrive at a destination is transportation. What I have found is that organized, well-planned travel works best for me. I need to know how I am getting from the airport to the hotel.
No matter what country I am in, I plan out for my airport to hotel transfer ahead of the trip. Over the years of traveling, I have learned that some services go above and beyond in tending to their clients. I like that. I chose the best limousine company in Dublin, Ireland, one that covers all of Ireland, not just transports and I’ll explain why shortly.
After getting off the plane (3 flights), going through immigration, claiming luggage and then worrying about how to get to the hotel, I was ready to collapse. In my recent extended trip to Ireland, I sought out the best limousine company in Dublin.
We needed a ride from the Dublin Airport to the Clontarf Castle. At the end of our trip, we needed to go from the Croke Park Hotel to the Dublin Airport.
Best Limousine Company in Dublin Ireland
From the moment I first reached out to The Limousine Company to the last close of the door, I knew we chose right. Professional, timeliness, and such upbeat attitudes, there’s just no imperfections.
Responsiveness means everything and The Limousine Company was responsive and so easy to work with. All I can say is find them, book them and just let your Irish Adventure wherever you are headed there begin! They will handle the ‘get you there’ part.
Women and Travel To Ireland
Also, calling all ladies, who want the least amount of stress when planning travel, I would definitely suggest this company for a pickup and drop off, rather than dealing with any other ‘messy’ arrangements. This is definitely a service for women traveling in groups or by themselves for business to use. Safely providing transportation to and from your destinations.
The Limousine Company also can provide transport service for your trip, and the duration of your stay, you just need to arrange all of this on their site and trust me, they email back and forth, rapidly, leaving no question unanswered. (Love this!) You’ll find a Woman on the other side of the email answering you, efficient and kind!
What I like is that it is a no-nonsense approach and they have great reviews no matter where you read. Additionally, the level of professionalism I seek was very present.
The Dublin Airport
We were met by Brian, smiling, dressed in a suit, and our name was across a tablet, no mixing up who we were looking for! Brian took hold of my bags, and escorted us to the Mercedes, parked on the first floor of the parking garage, within feet of the arrival area.
My first glimpse of the Mercedes and I knew we chose right. I mean, I knew it already, but it was just solidified. The pictures were as they appeared on the website. Nothing fake about this business. It’s all real and is what it is. Luxury, professional transpiration! Love this! No bait and switch, and that is what makes a big difference in business.
Just as the outside of the vehicle was perfectly manicured, the inside was met with the same forte. Inside the meticulously cared for vehicle was bottled water, tissues, and sanitizer. And yes, the seats were comfortable.
More Than Just Transfers
Before I continue, I want to mention that The Limousine Company is not just a transfer to and from the airport. They can be, if you so choose, but they offer a plethora of other services. From corporate events, to around Ireland travel.
Since we were headed onto an 8 day Irish Adventure, my need was simply a transfer, but if I return, I know that I will utilize The Limousine Company for Ireland specific destinations without another thought.
Before Delivery to The Clontarf Castle
Once the bags were loaded (we had 4, 2 large, and 2 carry-on), we were on our way. You see, to rid jet lag, ahead of our 8 day Irish Adventure I booked rooms at the Clontarf Castle.
We did not want our trip ruined due to time change so a few days ahead gained us a bit more time on the ground, uncovering Dublin. Brian’s offer would be key in helping us navigate!
The Difference Between Being Good and Being The Best
Brian, asked if it was fine to give us a bit of an overview of the area of Dublin as we passed to the Clontarf Castle. A man that speaks “Dana’ love it. I am always curious about where we are going and he is offering to show us the area before we arrive? Yes, please and thank you. This will help us out when we take on Dublin City Center later.
My spirit is all about experiential travel, and this is the perfect introduction to Dublin City Center! Yes, that’s me smiling away because I am happy and comfortable even after 24 hours of flying! Our adventure in Dublin was about to begin. Yeah!
Brian’s introduction to the area truly added to ease of navigation later in our by foot travel. Also, it helped us figure out where the ‘cabs’ were taking us. Good to know trust me!
The Clontarf was a simple 10 minute drive to Dublin City Center, one we would NOT walk. Our private overview was welcome and generous of Brian.
Brian’s Overview Of Dublin
As a travel writer ever I never say NO to more knowledge! Brian shared the ‘Dyson’ building, the bridges, why the Ha’Penny was called what it was as well as a lot more info, that I just digested and used later.
We saw the main street with The Spire of Dublin, all of the buses and the railcar, which he cautioned us about. He told us it was silent when it runs so to watch for it before crossing. (He literally made the difference in one of our walks, trust me). Tired as tourists, I was not paying attention, and luckily Michael was because Brian had cautioned us.
Brian described Pubs and to use them when it was raining to enjoy Guinness, which he also discussed. He gave some insight on when to visit Guinness and how to avoid crowds. We loved this ride and our time with Brian.
Now, I know when I go back to Ireland, I would again use The Limousine Company. He is so kind, and feels more like an extended family than someone we just met.
Arrival At The Clontarf Castle
As for the photo above, forgive me, but I had been traveling about 24 hours at this point, not my best photo! Thank you Brian, loved meeting you and can’t wait to meet up again!
That’s Brian getting our luggage because we were packed for 12 days of adventure both with the upcoming tour and on our own.
You see, I mentioned that I love when its more than a transfer, and a bit of a quick overview? Well, little did Brian know, but his tour would help us in our future walking endeavors, Day 1, Day 2, and Day 12! We love him for this!
We took many taxis while we were there. I want to say this, it’s not easy to get a taxi that wants to accept a credit card in Dublin. We must have gone through a line of them numbering at least 6 before one said, ‘Yes’. This happened on a few days. Other times, even with the MyTaxi app, we could not locate a driver.
Another couple told us a nightmare story of their transfer in, and I had to snicker because ours was pre-planned and smooth. To the point that we were even advised of the ‘flow’ after getting off our Dublin plane all the way through to meeting our driver, Brian. That was not the experience others had, so we are grateful and that is why we deem our choice of Limousine services the Best.
There are things you just can’t put a price tag on, like kindness and punctuality.
Do let The Limousine Company know how many bags you will be carrying it will help them decide which vehicle they need to transport your party.
Our Pickup Back To The Airport.
I had a few ‘bumps’ in our return from hotel to the Dublin airport and I dropped an email to The Limousine Company with a request for an alternative pickup time by about 1/2 hour.
We had a scheduling quirk with our flight, bags that needed checked (that were not to be checked) and needed time for the Horizon Tax machine, so we changed things up. Within minutes of my query for a changed time, it was confirmed. That’s incredible and why we truly find them to be the best.
What You Want To Know
There’s plenty of room for you luggage. We were a party of 2, with 2 large international, 50 pound check bags, 2 carry-on bags, and 2 backpacks. We had plenty of room. Check out the comfortable seating.
Our Mercedes Van transfer was waiting for us ahead of schedule. Michael took a walk outside and there was our driver about 15 minutes ahead of our time. Yes, priceless. This time, our vehicle was a lovely Black, shiny and very clean, Mercedes Van.
Of course, I let my bag rest as well, after all it worked hard too, lol!
Our driver (sorry I did not get his name, as we moved fast) was kind, and promptly loaded our bags. We were delivered right to the airport on schedule. Once at the airport, our bags were unloaded at the proper door and we proceeded to check in and get things straightened out with our flights and baggage. Forehead swipe to getting things calmed down.
Perhaps the least stressful part of our 4 airport jaunt we were about to endeavor. You can see there are 5 seats across the back there and our luggage is behind as you saw it being loaded.
For those of you looking for a luxury service, tours around Ireland, transfers to and from the Dublin airport, or a service to take you around Ireland and Dublin while you are there, I’ve found them for you.
Tested, true and incredibly efficient, I’d use them over and over again. Schedule your time with The Limousine Company before you arrive.
My thanks 100x over to The Limousine Company of Ireland, for hosting us, we appreciate all you did to make our arrival and departure as well as stay very comfortable. ~ DANA Vento XO ~
