Here’s what I know, not everyone likes EGGS in their eggnog and I am one of those people. Want to know what else I dislike? Store bought eggnog because it tastes funky. It’s thick, gunky and gross. Most of us might have been introduced to Eggnog out of the carton, but this recipe is so easy, you will soon be making your own.
I am very big on tradition yet, also on HOMEMADE. You know I am a queen of the kitchen, used to own a restaurant, cooked, and even did private parties. Why in the world would I settle for crappy carton Eggnog Milk when I can make it healthier and better without eggs and literally in seconds. I don’t settle, I make. This eggnog takes less than 2 minutes to make!!
While I do have a recipe for original eggnog, we use that as well, however I love this. So whether you want eggnog with eggs or the short version of Eggless Eggnog (let’s call it the cliff note version) I have you covered. Ready? Lavishly live the holidays out loud and enjoy the Easiest EVER Eggless Eggnog.
Easiest EVER Eggless Eggnog
To keep this simple and your eyes from falling asleep, as yet another task to read a recipe, let’s just cut to the chase for this recipe shall we? I am going to tell you how much I love this beverage. If you like alcohol add it to it. Just don’t overdo the amounts or you will get watery eggnog. I suggest adding-in alcohol AFTER you create, about one jigger per 8 oz.
Now in all honesty this eggnog takes about a whole 2 minutes to make and you make it in a pinch or always as we do. I keep 2 bottles in the fridge at all times. Always shake before serving. The nicest part of this is if someone is coming and only likes Almond Milk, then make this with Almond Milk. NO matter what it turns out perfect!
Also, you don’t have to croak on eggs, or worrying about tempering those beasts against warm milk. None of that. No stove, no effort, just pure freaking bliss in a glass. Bottle it, take it everywhere you go, it will be asked for over and over.
The beauty of this recipe is that most of you will have the few ingredients you need in the house and you won’t have to get out of your comfy clothes to go get what you need to make it! Love this! Holidays at home!
I purchase bunch of glass bottles that are air tight, and then when I make this I put this into the bottles. When I go to someone’s home, I tote this along. Trust me, there’s nothing ever left and I get sent home with the bottle and ONE request “please refill me!”
5 Cups of Milk (you choose your weapon! Skim, 2% etc)
2 Tsp Rum Extract Flavoring
Nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon
Ground Cloves 1/2 Teaspoon
Allspice 1/2 Teaspoon
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Ginger
1 (3oz) package of Instant Vanilla Pudding
Mix all ingredients together in the blender, and mix until powder ceases to exist (in other words it is blended). Then, chill and serve. Yup, that was so darn easy, if you blinked you missed the directions.
If you are adding in alcohol, I suggest AFTER it is mixed and again, one jigger per glass of 8oz.
Top this treat off with whipped topping or nothing. Sprinkle with a bit more nutmeg, or if you want some colored sprinkles. It is amazing. The only thing you don’t want to do is under-pour the amount of milk, or you will get PUDDING in a jar. (let’s just say I learned this the hard way!)
The Bliss Of The Holidays
