My daughter called, stranded at work because I forgot to mark down her schedule. How did this happen? I am a very high-functioning A-Type personality that is always in control, organized and definitely does not fly by the seat of my pants on a weekly basis. Things fall through the cracks, but I can tell you the flaw was actually not in my scribing down a schedule, rather the flaw was in the fact that we just retired our old Dotmine Family Time Mine planner and we were going through a week without the schedule until our new one came in! UGGGGG! Dotmine’s new products were not here yet and I hit my first big snafu since about 3 years ago! Organization in a family is key to maintaining sanity and I write it all down.
My mom used to do this when I was a little girl, she had one central calendar book and I remember writing notes to her in it each day, before I left to school like, “Hi Mom.” The purpose of her book was to make sure that everyone had the rides they needed and that we all knew where everyone else was at all points in time! Lavishly living my life organized and out loud includes one of my brands I can just not do the new school year without, Dotmine. I have become personal friends with Sarah from Dotmine, to the point that she actually knows what I like and how insane my personal life is. Over the last 3 years, I have tried out, tested and used almost one of every type they offer from Family to time.mine, planners and what I have learned is you can never be too organized to too much about scheduling. The best functioning households out there are organized, and communicate and Dotmine offers you both communication and organization, let me show you what I have come to love! The planners let mom’s, families, and even corporate professionals, plan and polish their ‘go at it plan’ before they engage in chaos.
Life gently has a way of unwinding when it is all written down and Dotmine lets you unwind; hour-by-hour, day-by-day and week-by-week, keeping life smooth coasting and manageable. ~ Dana
Calm and stable is how parents and professionals get things done and Dotmine paper planners help you achieve this. Let me share my Family_Time.Mine with you. The front is a fun tulip and flowers de Provence theme, a little pink a little red and a whole lot of personality that ends up going “DUTCH!” The design to me never matters, but the inside design shapes my life and this is the best MOM planner available. The size is 8.5″ x 11″ and it is a 17 month planner, from August – December, see we were waiting for our planner and I did not have my daughter’s pick up marked down anywhere, therefore we were ‘disorganized!’ The covers on the Dotmine take a beating, they are hard and durable plastic and p.s. they wipe up easy with disinfectant wipes(you don’t think this stays on my desk do you?). The paper on the inside is divine, crisp and strong, while offering perforated lines for ‘tear outs’ making it possible to take along the grocery list you doodled! The coils on this spiral are plastic and you will also find useful back pockets to keep those little ‘thrown-in’ papers in place. As a little bonus, there is a master planning guide for Fall, Summer and Winter which lets you get ahead of the planning and stay organized each day of the week and each season in the year! Still not feeling the organization bug? Let me help chide you a bit more. Pick yourself something from the time.mine collection. You are a person, even if you are a mom or a dad and you belong to that tribe, you are a person that has a life that needs to be acknowledged and celebrated each day. Lavishly live your organizational life out loud by writing out your personal agenda as well. I find that if I mark down grocery, and USPS, as well as my work appointments and anything that pertains to me, I feel a bit more credited even when everyone else fails to recognize my survival skills that are in high go mode day-to-day. Dotmine time.mine let’s you relish and realize your day’s potential and the amount of energy you will need. The Time.mine collection is simply for me, letting me realize day-by-day that I have a task list, a life and things to carry on with aside from just being MOM! The Little Free Bird design that Sarah sent me, makes me smile because it is anecdotal knowing that with a planner you can be a free bird! The size on this is perfect for tossing in my bag it is 6″x 9″ and it is a 17 month planner. The paper is crisp, the design adorable and the organization ….priceless
