In my home holidays are all about tradition, and we keep a list of what we do from year to year so we can keep up with years gone by. The Vento family is all about spending time with our kids and making sure that no matter how harried the holidays are that the kids come first and so does family time.
This year we kept up with our holiday breakfast traditions and headed out to enjoy a holiday celebrations menu where Peppermint and Eggnog were not just for drinking instead they were incorporated into menu items. Every year we have Christmas Eve breakfast out and New Year’s Eve breakfast. Honestly, I needed a morning off as I have done nothing but bake, cook, clean and work and the kids needed Mom and Dad time to talk about Christmas!
From oversized mugs brimming with specialty hot chocolate to yummy fried potatoes, the Vento family indulged in an hour to ourselves before heading out for all the chaos of holidays. Lavishly live food out loud with holiday breakfast traditions.
Holiday Celebrations
Getting out and being a family is what the holidays are all about and we love it! There were so many families out doing the same thing as we were; filling up the bellies and chatting with no pressure to do anything else except listen to one another! tip jar will help you celebrate the holiday and I am sure you will love the Holiday Celebrations Menu which is still available until Jan 1, so hurry and get your belly filled up.
You might want to start your breakfast off with one of these bad boy over-sized Toasted Marshmallow Hot Chocolate. I will warn you that everyone will want to share your mug because the hot chocolate flavored with toasted marshmallow syrup looks as good as it tastes and no one can resist the whipped topping and cocoa powder.
Or if you are more of a peppermint person the Frosted Mint Hot Chocolate is also in a huge mug, and the frosted mint syrup and sprinkles are divine!
BREAKFAST Holiday Celebrations Menu
Are you ready for these elite Dark Chocolate Pancakes that are rich in flavor and topped with crushed peppermint? The white chocolate chips and drizzled chocolate make it the real deal in yum!
Or maybe you are more of an Eggnog Pancake person? Get ready to open wide and enjoy Eggnog Pancakes featuring eggnog cream swirled with cinnamon and nutmeg, layered in between warm buttermilk pancakes and that sprinkle of cinnamon sugar and stripe of butter rum sauce complete the deal!
The Combinations
As far as I am concerned breakfast is not breakfast without the potatoes, eggs and meats (for those who love meat!). So the ‘make it a combo’ option is perfect for growing kids with large appetites.
Holiday breakfast options are easy when you head to your local IHOP and try out their holiday celebrations menu but remember this is a limited time menu and it will disappear faster than the holiday season itself. Happy Holidays and enjoy ~ DANA XO
