How To Get The Pool To Yourself On A Cruise

January 3, 2019 By niko vento 11 Comments

where niko travels, how to get the pool to yourself on the cruise, cruising, ship, holland america, swimming, how to, cruise time, family time, what to do, life through my eyes, teens and cruising.

After we were supposed to be at a lunch meeting which did not happen.

Here’s the deal, we were supposed to go to lunch at something my mom had set up for work in Grand Turk.  But the guy was completely ‘CRUNK’, and ticked my mom off and we did not meet with him. He was so drunk he could not even talk, guess the island boos got him. (Mom says no free advertising, so I am not telling you who the ‘CRUNKED’ guy was. )

We went back to our Holland America ship, ate lunch and then it happened.

I got in my suit and went to the deck.

Trust me, the pool is always the place to be, so this moment was made possible by everyone else being at the port. That’s the solution, let them all get off the ship and get into the pool by yourself. Of course, mom was close watching me, who else would take these ridiculous pictures?

Thanks to the drunk guy, I had my own place at the pool for at least an hour. I enjoyed every minute of it, even when a few others came in, it was still all mine!

P.S. Where Niko Travels Tip

– Holland America gives you pool towels, so don’t pack them. Get a clean one every time you get to the pool!

My mom is a travel writer, so you can follow along and learn a lot more if you are an adult, about traveling with kids, and traveling around the world. As for me, I write because I travel with her and love it. From my perspective, travel is a lesson learned every day. Today I learned to always be ready for a meeting, my Mom could have written about you! Ha. See you soon

Sounds like a great tip to avoid not having any room in the pool and crowds. I’ve not been on a cruise before though.

That’s a nice idea if it’s somewhere where you’re not bothered about getting out at the port as you have a lot more freedom x
