After a full day at the Disney Parks and at Universal Orlando there is nothing nicer than coming back to a room with only two beds, and a bathroom and everyone cramming in one doorway fighting for who gets to get changed first in the bathroom so they can get to the pool.
Everyone suddenly has the first dibs on the bathroom, and while they are fighting it out, I pass them all and step in to get away from the insanity! Whoaaaa, scratch that thought there has to be an easier way right? The need for space, sprawling out, multiple people in need of a bathroom, showers, and rest are what vacations are made of and one room or two is not going to solve this dilemma. Travel needs to be comfortable, happy and so amazing that you can cross things off your bucket-list and think clearly.
The solution to privacy, bathrooms, space between each other while vacationing together is an Orlando Vacation Pool Home that lets you lavishly live travel out loud, while having a little space for everyone.
When A Family Grows
The kids are getting older, we need some space, the necessity of more than one bathroom in a room is completely necessary and kids should not have to sleep piled on top of kids after a full day of parks, walking and activity. Tweens and teens need a room of their own, where they can decide what else to present to Mom and Dad as fun options to head out to, you know when they all gang up on you and ‘beg’ for the next fun activity even when none was planned? Teamwork begins and that is all part of family time and the “hey Mom and Dad remember when….”
This is not lavish living and hardly is it luxury and I don’t care we are, being piled up after being in public all day and vying for a bit of personal space the return to retreat needs to be lavish! For my family it is facing the fact that if we all don’t get some good sleep the next day will be miserable for every event we have to attend and that is not an option.
Let’s back this whole trip to the door of the hotel up and see what our happier alternative is when traveling.
The Reverse of Too Little Space
NOW, let’s try this scenario: it’s the end of the day, we have spent the day at one of the parks, we leave and return to OUR driveway, head to the front door, some of the kids go upstairs, some stay down, and everyone heads to their own space, getting their swimsuits on and a few minutes later, everyone is down in the pool, sitting in the hot tub or relaxing in chairs around the pool. This is what it is like in an Orlando Vacation Pool Home.
An Orlando Vacation Pool Home has so many amenities(varies from home to home), and an Orlando Vacation Pool Home offers a growing family, space. When we travel, I like space, my own room and a private pool and when we are visiting Orlando, we love to rent an Orlando Vacation Pool Home, because space, privacy and leisure all come together under one roof, and to me that is lavishly living travel out loud.
Here we are, almost at the end of a full day of park going and while they may not look like it, trust me, the kids are on the verge of the need to be fed, and then they need some freedom. You might ask how is that possible if they have been walking around a park all day long, what could they possibly need?
If you know kids you know that the park is one kind of fun but the other side of fun on vacation is swimming, television, and eating. How do we accomplish all of this fun in one day and not have to pack kids up and walk down long hallways, take elevators to get to a pool and grab food at the restaurant?
An Orlando Vacation Pool Home conquers the whole vacation and the great news of this is if you want a luxurious trip, with a lot of amenities, and a private pool, renting a home in Orlando is often very cost effective and we have found even more lavish than any hotel stay.
A few things you want to know about staying in an Orlando Vacation Pool Home, that you might now have considered. When you wake up, you don’t hear doors slamming above you, below you or out in your hallway. I was greeted each day by this little face, who was ready to swim before breakfast.
My little one got up each morning, took a swim and then waited for breakfast. While I prepared breakfast, I also made some lunch to take along to the parks, it just works so nicely – I also did not know this photo was being snapped!
We would go downstairs, he would swim, and then dry off, come in, and while he was showering I made him breakfast, and he was just thrilled with his life! My other 2, a bit older like to sleep and that is fine, everyone could do what they wanted because they all had separate rooms so no one was stepping over another person to get out of the room or use the bathroom.
When they woke up of course, it was back in the pool for everyone as you can see, these two just emerged from the going under in the water!
These two just took a plunge under the water and timed it perfect to be snapped with wet heads and smiles! Early morning swims are the best!
We traveled to the park and we had my Father-In-Law with us as well, so by the end of the day, we were all pretty tired, yet the kids still had some restless energy(as you expect, right?) so we would pick up dinner that we called ahead for, and I prepared whatever my son with allergies needed for dinner in our kitchen and guess where everyone went again?
If you guess that everyone headed outside for more fun you are right. We were under the stars, in the screened in patio. My father-in-law watched the kids as they were ready ahead of me cleaning up the kitchen, so safety first, they took Grandpa out with them so there was an adult watching.
My Father-In-Law just sitting and enjoying the night, and watching the kids in the pool
Once I got us cleaned up inside, I changed and joined in on the party as did my husband and daughter.
The activity at the parks is on thing, but coming home to a place where you have your own space and ability to relax is just a gift.
A Few Reasons You Might Want A Orlando Vacation Home With A Pool
1) Privacy – wear what bathing suit you want and never worry about it.
2) You don’t need a cover-up to walk from your room to the pool
3) You don’t need shoes to get from your room to the pool
4) No waiting in a hotel room for ‘your turn’ to use the bathroom to change
5) Heat the pool when you want
6) Easily gain access to the pool in the morning or the night
7) Swim when you want and you don’t have to socialize if you are too tired.
8) The Pools are in screened in areas, don’t worry about bugs!
9) Many of the Orlando Homes are nearby the parks, so often(not always, this is home dependent) you can see the nightly fireworks from the pool.
10) Dine Al Fresco
11) If your pool has a built-in Hot Tub enjoy this for those legs and feet after a day walking the park.
I also would issue a few warnings about a Orlando Vacation Home With A Pool. While I don’t want to take the wind out of your sail, it is so important to remember that a pool requires safety. Kids that have not grown up with a pool attached to their home, need to understand there are rules about NEVER SWIMMING without an adult present.
As for the Adult, it is very important that you know first aid procedures, CPR, etc and that you are PAYING attention to your children when they swim. No one should swim alone, and kids need to be watched every minute they are in that pool. Phones should not be played on, as if your child slips, falls into the pool, you need to be there to grab them. Exercise caution, and watch each other.
Renting an Orlando Vacation Pool Home is one of the best things we have ever done, and we have done it over and over. This particular home is available for rental, but we did not rent from him, he is our personal friend, but if you are looking for a great home, you can grab his up, if it is available, as it is really in demand.
The Orlando Vacation Pool Homes are perfect for families who need a bit of time away from the crowds in order to be able to functional coherently again the next day. In addition, families love the space and privacy that an Orlando Vacation Pool Home offers.
Lavishly live travel out loud, and try out an Orlando Vacation Pool Home, we would travel no other way! Where was your favorite home that you stayed in while in the Orlando Area? I’d love to hear from you!
