Outer Banks Eatery with Food So Good You Will Want To Keep Going Back

May 22, 2020 By Dana Vento Leave a Comment

The Red Sky Food When I first spoke with Chef Wes Stepp, I was excited.

However, when I arrived at his restaurant The Red Sky Cafe, reality set in.

I was about to meet a celebrity chef (He’s written a book and has 30+ years of culinary experience).

For those seeking an Outer Banks Eatery with Food So Good, You will Want to Keep coming Back, I’ve got ya!

Duck, North Carolina is a great vacay spot and I love it here.

Finding food is not an issue, in fact, Tullio’s Pastry Shop is right in here too for those craving sweets!

If you leave The Red Sky Cafe hungry, that’s on you.

Go in starved and leave with a filled up belly!

Thank you to The Red Sky for hosting me and providing such delicious food.

As a testament to this, people were lined up at the door, long before the restaurant was open, while I was enjoying a private dining service.

They eventually got to come in during the regular hours, and once I was leaving but it is one of the best restaurants in the area and I know why!

The Red Sky Cafe Duck, NCChef Wes is full of personality and I love him to pieces.

He’s knowledgeable, kind, and quite generous.

His restaurant is quite filled Southern Country, yet eclectic in ways.

Take the look of a Cracker Barrel and then add some swank to it, then you got the feel!

Now, beyond that, his food, will move you, and not just your mouth.

Taste is elevated in everything presented on a board, tray, or plate.Chef Wes Stepp and His Dog

Sometimes pictures speak louder than words.

Platters of Food at The Red Sky Cafe

Being honest, there was nothing on the platter I did NOT eat.

Nothing was meat, as he abided by my ‘I don’t eat meat lifestyle!’

Grilled Cheese at The Red Sky Cafe

The food just tastes better on boards. (Charcuterie trays maybe or wooden planks).

What’s a Meal Without Dessert?

After all the food had been eaten, there was more to come.

So, what is a meal without dessert? A sin!

Things I Know About The Red Sky Cafe

I know darn well right, The Red Sky Cafe has had plenty of press.

It did not need my write up, or my touts to how delicious it is, nor did Chef need to host me.

The restaurant is solid, delicious and one of a kind.

Yet, he opened his doors to me and cooked up a storm!

Since I focus on healthy eating options and Chef does too, this was the perfect option.

Vegetarian, Vegan, low carbs, Bunless meals, and of course allergy-friendly.

How fantastic is this restaurant? FABU!

Just let your server KNOW what you need from them and they deliver BIG!

NO attitude all smiles and good eats!

I can’t wait to go back with my family to eat and visit with Chef. ~ Dana XO
