How To Make The Pretty Pansy Purple Gin Cocktail
This recipe is so easy to make you won’t believe it, but you will love the versatility.
The recipe below has the actual ingredient amounts and technique; know that when you add schnapps or prosecco, you can easily alter the amount of each based on preference.
If someone prefers more of the peach taste, then decrease the amount of the prosecco and add in the difference for the schnapps, you get the idea!
Step 1: Creating the purple peach cocktail Blend
Using a martini glass (this glass is used to not only mix in but serve from as well) add your gin, schnapps, prosecco, tonic, and simple syrup.
Stir briskly but carefully controlled so as not to spill the contents.
Add a bit of ice.
Step 2: The Purple Peach Cocktail Color Appears
This is the lightning-in-the-bottle moment where we will transition your everyday peach gin drink into a beautiful purple pansy gin drink with a POP of color! Now be stingy with the purple food coloring, and drop it atop the mixture, in other words, a very controlled hand when dropping, or you will make this look like a Halloween freak drink!
After, watch it mix, then stir to gain the purple color.
I love just looking at this, and at this point, I guess I could have stopped just for the color and the flavor, but honestly, the blossoms we are going to garnish this gin drink recipe with make it a spring and summer explosion of purple love!
Step 3: Garnish The Purple Gin Drink
At this point, it’s all up to the garnishes to further enhance the color, and it’s a fast and easy process.
Add in the blackberries for color (optional). They will sink to the bottom, just so you know, and that is fine because it disperses the color from top to bottom and makes it a show-stopper cocktail!
Step 4: Topping With Edible Purple Pansy Blooms
Then you will top off the cocktail with the purple pansy blooms.
Serve immediately and enjoy!

What This Cocktail Is Not
The funny thing about this drink is that it is similar to many drinks, but nothing is combined in this way because I like to experiment.
Since I am not a mixologist, I never worry about right and wrong, I try, and when I find a good one, it becomes a Casa Vento Signature recipe, and this is one of those. I can’t believe I never published the drink in all the time I’ve had my site, but it is such commonplace in our home that I think everyone has the recipe, but you don’t, and now you can!
- It is not a peach bellini, as there is no peach puree
- It is not a Gimlet because it has no lime juice, lime, or honey.
- It is not a fizz cocktail, as the drink has no lime, lemon, egg, etc..
