Tips On The Best Luxury Rides Around Vegas
When you head out on a trip of a lifetime to celebrate your wedding anniversary, lots of luxury needs to accompany that trip.
I am a luxury girl and I love pampering.
From spa time to romantic dinners, to trail climbing there’s a lot to do in Vegas and the surrounding area.
Vegas and it’s surrounding areas are both a destination and experience and in order to see it all.
We drove away from the strip, 20 minutes Southeast of Vegas and conversely a few miles west Vegas.
This luxury girl got rode in a luxury vehicle, from the time we landed in Vegas until the time we left.
My luxury rides were not only the scenery but the amenities in our vehicle.
We stayed at a luxury resort and we drove in the first-class comfort from my feet to my derriere.
Vegas s about relaxing, unwinding and stories and trust me, I have them.
Today, let me share tips on the best luxury rides through the Vegas Surrounding areas are, so you too can lavishly live travel out loud.
I have a true affinity towards Genesis as it delivers power through acceleration on demand, handles the road smoother than other ‘luxury’ brands we have driven.
The Genesis offers an interior that matches its exterior and incredible driving experience.
I might note that when we drove up to our luxury resort in Vegas.
There were so many other luxury vehicles there, yet our valet got out of our Genesis G80 on more than one occasion and said “what a ride!”
Our Genesis G80 allowed us to be as enriched with ‘Authentic Nevada’ as the amenities in the car.
Luxury was the ability to gain an appreciation for the Southwest while taking in the Vegas Strip.
Luxury is as luxury does, and this lavish vehicle enriched our lives from behind the wheel to beyond our view!
The Vegas Surrounding Areas
Life is a journey and when I venture, comfort is a requirement.
We ventured beyond the Vegas Strip and Fremont Street, we headed to the surrounding areas of both the Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon.
Hoover Dam Adventure – Surrounding Area
Our first mini getaway was to the Hoover Dam. Our valet at the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas drove up and I just thought, “WOW!” as I admired from afar.
The Himalayan Gray just danced with a glistening even under the covered Valet area.
But it was not just the look of the Genesis G80 it was the style.
There’s just something so inviting about the ride, that possibly I would have gotten into the car even it was not mine!
Beckoning us for adventure, we obliged, programmed our 9.2″ Touchscreen Navigation system (the bigger the better when you are just out of your 30’s, lol!)
A true luxury especially when programming the nav system fast.
We were off on our first adventure and truly we lacked nothing.
Our destination was less than 25 minutes from our luxury hotel, so our luxury ride would be short and sweet!
Stop For Vegas Donuts
Sweet as I promised you, was our first stop: Donuts.
The Flagship store of Pink Box Donuts.
If you thought our ride was sweet, you gotta see the donuts.
Once we got our Poop Emoji donuts, we continued on to the Hoover Dam.
Under The Bridge – Sunroof Savvy
As my husband drove (and I reminded him that there was such a thing as a speed limit..)
Seriously the G80 just glides moves before you realize how many MPH you are officially going.
The effortless steering behind the wheel down to the power-adjustable front seat has so many configurations (that can become part of the memory program) it is virtually impossible to not find comfort in sitting.
I snapped some incredible photos. Our interior cabin ride was so smooth due to the Engine 3.8L (3,778 cc) DOHC 24-valve V6 and the premium leather seating.
Flawless engagement with the road beneath leads to lavish conditions to photo from.
Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge
Before you get to the Hoover Dam you can opt to stop at the Mike O’Callaghan- Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge.
Parking is free, there are bathrooms, and there is a pathway.
The path is concrete and you can opt for steps or the ramp.
Once you get to the top, the bridge is there to cross from Nevada to Arizona.
Traffic is on this bridge and trusts me I hate heights, so I had my fears.
I walked out just enough to snap a picture and then ran when an 18 wheeler went across and I could feel the ‘give’on the bridge bouncing.
However, Mike stayed out and ventured across to really capture the grandaddy of a view of the Hoover Dam.
It’s a must, an experience and I cringe thinking about what I missed.
The Hoover Dam
To get how excited we were to be in our favorite brand of vehicle, driving across the Hoover Dam, let me provide you a small clip I captured.
I was trying to video the ride over the dam, but my the Pilot behind the wheel was super excited to be behind the wheel of the G80 (you would be too, it’s that amazing!!)
We parked in a ‘FREE’ parking lot and began our journey across the Dam.
Stopping to share the time in Arizona versus Nevada, even though each place was steps from the other.
Jaw-dropping depth and views are the luxuries of this stop.
Intelligent engineering, coupled with the backdrop of the bridge, will leave you stunned and crave more.
Water against the rocks, and cement that is there would be able to chart a path from Nevada to Miami and it is still curing, crazy right?
The Lavish Helicopter Ride
If you did not see this, it is beyond words.
There are power lines everywhere and the incredible pilot comes in and picks up the line engineers.
They ride high above in the sky on a rope to their drop off.
Do you know how many people were just gaping at the jaw?
I was too. A treat of the day for certain not what I expected to see!
After posting this picture, with nothing more than good hashtags and a Geo Locator, the pilot reached out!
To The Top
We ventured further to the top of Dam because the path winds up further and the winding was met by the G80 every turn of the wheel, every curve of the way without challenge!
Under The Sun Roof
Yep, pics from within as we were driving my favorite way to grab some extra moments.
Michael drives, I photo. So often we stop!
Adventure 2 – Red Rock Canyon
From the famed Vegas Strip to Red Rock Canyon is yet another lavish adventure you just have to take. Truly a Vegas area experience.
We hopped in our Genesis G80, used the ventilated front seats (it was about 70°) and the sun was shining brightly.
Shining enough in fact that we opened the Panoramic sunroof (power tilt-and-slide with one-touch open/close) and drove West!
Styling Like my Ride
We had just left an engagement and I was bit more dressed up than normal, so love to the mini booties with heels and a leather jacket.
Further, we were headed to another one after this little diversion.
Trust me for all of you that saw me at Red Rock that day, I am not that stuck up chick you kept thinking should not be on trails in that attire.
I hiked trails that day in stilettos. Why?
Because I did not plan on it, and had a meeting at a restaurant after. But I went all in and got ALL kinds of looks!
I was as styled as the interior of the G80 but look at the backdrop, it did of course call for great attire right?
You might think this piece of rock is the adventure but it’s just the ‘tip’ of the adventure your about to embark upon.
Pay the entrance fee ($7) for cars and CASH is best or you will wait in line forever the WiFi is pretty non-existent in this area and the computers can’t get the payment working, so CASH people, save some from the slot machines!
Hiking, biking, strolling and exploring are what you venture to when at Red Rock Canyon.
13 Mile Scenic Tour
Red Rock Canyon by car is a 13 miles scenic tour, on a ONE-WAY and you have to pay attention to the stops.
If you miss them, you can’t go back, so drive slow and park in the designated lots.
Calico I was our first stop. It was gorgeous and engaging.
Michael mosied down the hill, I tried, but those boots were not made for walking, but that was not going to stop me.
From the High Point Overlook elevation 4,771 Ft to Pine Creek Canyon, the scenery is just fantastic.
Just a girl, living the dream and walking the walk, in mini heels, lol!
The journey through Red Rock Canyon is multi-faceted: it’s about wildlife, vegetation, geology, cultural resources, hiking, biking, and nature appreciation.
Unfortunately, while there were signs for Tortoise crossings, we never saw any but we did see these folks horseback riding when were by Pine Creek Canyon area if that counts as wildlife.
Thankfully, no matter what rock we stood on,
or by, we never saw scorpions or rattlesnakes. I would have fainted for certain.
Tips On The Best Luxury Rides Through The Vegas Surrounding Areas
Our drive through Vegas and its surrounding area was provided by Genesis and the incredible luxury vehicle the 2018 G80 RWD 3.8. Every photo and bit of information I will share is written in my heart.
What luxury ride will you take from Las Vegas? Being on the strip is great, getting out is even better.
