Our beach homes are truly our man and women caves where we can retreat from life for just a bit.  Life is hard, and we need some awesome good to continue to push on, and kicking back in our beach home is super important for our body and mind!

For some of us, a beach home can simply be a weekend retreat away from the chaos of our busy travel schedules, for others it is the mainstay of their lives because as we age, our needs for a new environment also move along.  Homes, get outdated, can lack curb appeal, and the products they are often built with can give way to rotting, warping, and be cosmetically unfunctional.

Beach homes in particular truly need to have some special attention paid to them when you are remodeling.  Today’s post will feature tips for remodeling your beach home so you can enjoy it for a long time and share it with your family! Lavishly live life out loud, beachside and happy because remodeling will bring all things good!

Tips for Remodeling Your Beach Home

I absolutely love new DIY projects and I love learning about remodeling, as I know each of you does as well. Today’s post is sponsored by DuPont so that we can learn more about how important healthy living is in a home!

IF THOSE WALLS COULD TALK

The walls of your home really need to be heard, because if they could talk, they would be screaming at you to help them out when you remodel.  Beach homes are subject to forceful rain fall sometimes falling at a force of 50 mph and of course hard sustaining winds that just blow into the home, aginst those walls.

Beach homes usually reside in moist, humid areas, that receive large rainfall at times and drought-like conditions during others.  Each of these conditions is the perfect recipe to brew mold, and water issues in those walls.

Listen To Those Walls

Remodeling is your chance to get the beach home right.  Lots of us bought our beach homes from previous owners, so we were not in charge of the building nor do we know what’s inside of our walls, but, if you want to promote healthy living standards from the outside in, it’s time to get serious about the product you are using to wrap those walls (sheathing).

Do you want to protect your home against health problems that can occur as a result of water issues? Do you prefer to keep up to date with products that shield you from unnecessary exposure to mold?

Air, Water & Wasted Energy SOLVED

Install DuPont™ Tyvek® HomeWrap® house wrap on the beach house walls that you are about to rip on into and replace.  Did you know that DuPont™ Tyvek® HomeWrap®  is voted best in the market by builders for 20 consecutive years?

The air that moves around your home during those forceful, destructive summer storms can really cause issues for your home energy bills if your home is not insulated well by handling the air and creating a barrier between it and the inside of your home, you are successfully remodeling your home.

The rain, the humidity and the constant spray of ocean mist against your home may be a welcome feeling to your personal body thermostat, but it can wreak utter havoc on your wall’s homes, in fact, DuPont™ Tyvek® HomeWrap®  is the standard by which all air and moisture barriers are measured for the past 30 years.

That’s A Wrap

Sheathing does not protect from air or water infiltration which is why it is critical to use DuPont™ Tyvek® HomeWrap®.  Get the exterior sheathing on your home from DuPont™ Tyvek® HomeWrap® and keep your home healthy.  Keep out the mold issues, and keep out the health issues that mold can bring on.  Do not take shortcuts with the health of your home: there are truly no substitutes for DuPont™ Tyvek® HomeWrap® only imposters.

Sheathing Has Many Names

You will hear the words:  exterior sheathing, insulated sheathing, house sheathing, insulative sheathing, wall sheathing, exterior house sheathing, exterior wall sheathing and when you do, look for DuPont™ Tyvek® HomeWrap®  to keep your home healthy.  Use my Tips for Remodeling Your Beach Home and keep the moisture and air out and the good stuff in, lavishly living life out loud! As of my age, I haven’t had any money to build my beach homes but I love the idea that it is a perfect place for retirement and during long vacations. I will check out Tyvec and might bookmarked this one for future references. I need to make some goal to have my own beach house, lol.

Thanks for all these tips. Though we don’t have a house located at the beachfront yet, but it would help us to build a better home at the beach in the future as we are planning to have one for retreat.

Well, as a civil engineer I would highly recommend this product as I can see the level of security it gives, protecting your home from the salty breeze, rainwater infiltration, moist wind and mold problems. This is a cool technology and thanks for sharing this in your post. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.
