Stating that “In the crust, we trust” accurately reflects that anything good in the food industry starts from the bottom up and that the best of any pizza comes from the best ingredients being combined to create an explosion of flavor that you’ll remember long after enjoying it bite by bite, will be the notion that comes to life WHEN you experience this pizza shop pizza in McLean VA.
Why You’ll Love Andy’s Pizza In The Tysons Galleria

Undeniably The Best Pizza In Tysons But Try The Plated Greens
As a travel and food writer, I try to eat a little balanced, since sometimes I need to counteract all the other foods that are not so good for you when I travel (lol) so when I found plated greens on the menu, I had to try them and I am so happy I did!
The salads are not the run-of-the-mill crappy remnant salads you generally get in pizza parlors.
Rather each salad is simply plated with the freshest ingredients (you know the greens don’t taste like a mouthful of throwup) and each was blended with the perfect combination of ingredients and dressing, a definite must order while at Andy’s!
The Kale Salad

The presentation of the Kale Salad at Andy’s Pizza begins in a generous large square bowl, with hearty kale leafy greens sharing the plate with a generous sprinkling of cranberries, toasted sunflower seeds, and goat cheese topped off with lemon vinegar.
Fresh with a fabulous crunch and the lemon vinegarette was outstanding and while plentifully dressed, it was also light enough to not be overbearing! Perfection on a plated kale salad plate which is unusual!
Classic Caesar Salad

Freshly torn pieces of crisp romaine lettuce, adorned with a Parmigiano Reggiano and homemade croutons then drizzled with a well-balanced, Caesar dressing that is so good you’ll want to lick the plate (shhh!)
We Tried Andy’s Pizza Whole Pie Traditional Cheese
There’s nothing more gratifying than your first bite of luscious pizza when it just smacks taste full-on and you’ll experience that with a dine-pizza here because you’ll get a piping hot pizza delivered to the table (remember it’s hot don’t get burned!)
For those of you who have never experienced pizza nose drools from the stimulating aroma of freshly baked, served, and sliced pizza, be warned you will experience that at this pizza eatery in Tysons Galleria!
What creates the wildly incredible aroma of this pizza? It’s the fact that the warm, bubbling melty cheesy topping arrives just moments after coming out of the pizza oven offering a sensuous smell of ingredients harmonizing!

Pizza is only as good as its crust and this McLean pizza restaurant builds its base with a 72-hour cold ferment that results in a crust with a truly unique crisp, yet chewy, blistered crust with an almost sourdough taste, and it is lightly charred giving it the extra oomph you would never suspect.
The resulting texture of the blistered crust is then balanced and coated with a refreshingly simple yet flavorful sauce, crafted of San Marzano tomatoes.
Following the sauce is the freshest and best mozzarella cheese (Grande Mozzarella Cheese) because there is no skimping on any of the Andy’s Pizza ingredients and I can attest to the cheese pull of the pizza and this pizza has stretchiness!
Enjoy those huge triangle cuts by the slice and chomp on to battle for the last slice!
Order A Burrata Margherita With Pepperoni And You’ll Understand How It Is Undeniably The Best Pizza In Tysons
Again your crust will be crisp, blistered, and lightly charred at the bottom, while the interior of the crust will be chewy and you might even experience a quick sourdough-like flashback in taste, but what comes next (on the top) is everything!

The red sauce is again a part of this Burrata Margherita pizza, but, atop the sauce, you’ll experience a top-quality small radius pepperoni, accompanied by the Grande Mozzarella and Parmigiano then followed by an incredible Burrata and fresh basil which in my opinion steal the colorful presentation and add a burst of flavor because they are brilliantly combined ingredients!
Andy’s Pizza You Had Me At Hot Honey – Hot Tip!

If you happen to have a bottle of Hot Honey make it to your pizza-scoffing table, do the following:
- Drizzle
- Bite
- Repeat
WOW! Mike’s Hot Honey atop an Andy’s Pizza (all of them) is banging sick and a GOTTA Try moment.
You might be taken back a bit by the initial heat, but then the flavor is kind of addictive and so good that you’ll keep grabbing for the bottle.
Andy’s Pizza Is Better Than NYC Pizza
For a quick background on my trip to Andy’s Pizza Eatery in Tysons Galleria, allow me to share this tidbit of information.
I had literally just gotten off a flight from a trip to NYC where I spent 4 days eating my way through NYC and upon return, I had another work commitment to tend to in Reston Virginia so I got in the car and drove from Pittsburgh to the hotel.
Starved and tired, I sought out a highly recommended pizza place in McLean which as you have read was Andy’s Pizza.

Pizza was food I consumed every day in NYC over those days and I grabbed it from so many different areas throughout NYC that I gave it a good try (after all with all the walking, shopping, and sightseeing I was starving every few hours!)
Andy’s Pizza in my personal opinion is as close to and if not better than any pizza I consumed while I was in New York, from the crust to the high-quality ingredients that sit atop the crust, sauce to cheese.
As a food and travel writer, I don’t often reflect on pizza long after I’ve eaten it, because it is hardly memorable, but this pizza eatery in Tysons Galleria won my foodie-gal pizza-lovin’ heart and I would definitely drive four and a half hours from Pennsylvania to Andy’s Pizza to just dine-in!

*Pizza By The Slice is a particular menu array of pies sliced including Cheese, Pepperoni, Sausage & Peppers, Margherita, Mushroom and Onion, and White (selection may vary and the menu is subject to change as this is based on my experience when I dined there) Not included in pizza by the slice but I very much suggest ordering a whole pie to go: Vodka Margherita, Burrata Margherita, and Diavolo.
