First and foremost, Mr. Brindley addressed Covid-19 straight-up without hesitation and with a lot of pride and smiles (and I get it!) showing through this discussion!
He’s a vacation expert and his staff as well, therefore confidence in the most off-the-cuff situations such as currently are handled not swept under the welcome mat.
Mr. Brindley stated the following:
“Happily we’ve been able to rent or provide full refunds to our customers who had rentals scheduled during closure due to COVID.
Whether they chose not to come, or to simply rebook, each has been more than satisfied with their options!”

The entire Brindley Beach Vacation REntal staff has been trained on Covid-19 preparedness, cleaning, etc.
Their number one priority is keeping everyone safe and healthy!
Linens.
While we were offered linens that were stored in the closets, we did bring our own.
Sheets on the bed were sterilized by the cleaning service, not prior occupants.
I’ll be honest, the home was in magnificent shape, and seems to have been remodeled.
The kitchen was clean, beyond expectations.
We did wipe everything down (I mean you all know me).
Each child took a wipe and chose a floor to do light switches and doorknobs, you just can’t be too safe.
The pools were open, and each had a capacity limit maintained by the lifeguards on duty.

Mr. Brindley is celebrating his 5th year in the new office.
Despite most offices being a place to pick up and drop off keys, papers, etc., this offers is comfortable, welcoming, large.
An interior atrium, with views all the way around from the 2nd floor.
‘Joan of Arches’ that’s his wife’s arches she created to give the area more flow, and life!
The Royal Blue had me feeling as though I had been whisked away to the Caribbean somewhere.

We Had A KABA Lock ~ OBX Beach Rental and Fun.
Yes, Mom did not have to keep running with the kids to the beach house, nor did I Have to give up the keys, nor did anyone lose them!
We didn’t have any keys!
Footloose and fancy-free, we had a KABA Lock and we were ALL as happy as could be.
The kids made their own code, no one ever had to worry about a key or getting locked out!
We were so happy to be able to have a keyless entry!
My Personal Experience with The Staff Day 1
I had to go down to the office too and when I got there I mentioned that our hot tub buttons were not functioning.
Immediately, a call was made and within 2 hours a call from the Spa person directly.
By the next day, the panel was upgraded and working.
No stalling, no lull in the action, just improvement without a question.
Next, satellite television in the one master bedroom was not working.
Within 2 hours, someone from Brindley Beach Vacations arrived at our villa to take a look and see what they could do.
Swift in action, responsive, and the staff listens intently.
Also, while I was there, another person stopped in, immediate action was taken for them as well.
He was pleased as pie and retreated back to his car to head back to his family!
The Villas in Corolla Light – Outer Bank Beach Rentals

Vacationing without Over Packing when headed to these OBX Beach Houses
My villa was incredibly stocked and I did not expect it.
Why?
We’ve had rental homes before and generally, they have been bare bones.
Inside our garage, Brindley beach chairs, in red canvas, and wood which were light to carry and beach perfect.
Mr. Brindley told me, “they are lightweight for the ladies and so comfortable” which I had already experienced the day prior, and absolutely agree!
We also had 2 Brindley Beach lounge chairs, light to carry, and perfect for the patio and hot tub area.
Stopping to speak with a few others (on the beach and renting nearby), they all explained that their homes were so well-stocked and so did not expect that.
Why?
Again, they had not rented from Brindley Beach Vacation Homes, but each person was thrilled with both the community and the amenities!
It’s always reaffirming to hear others praise the way that I am.
Corolla & The Corolla Light Community ~ Outer Bank Beach Rentals
We’ve stayed in beach homes that are stand-alone and the owner pays a fee for you to travel to some pool if the home does not have one.
Eh.
Then again, we’ve stayed in beach homes with pools and no community, that’s fine too.
To date, homes that are part of a development, not a community, and have a private pool have been our favorite, it’s just easy.
However…
Community life is simple, something for everyone of every age.
When traveling with multiple generations, teens, etc., a community is definitely an asset.
Your family and members can be as involved or uninvolved as they choose.
For parents, it’s a chance for their kids to play basketball on courts, tennis, ride bikes through the community, and on paths in the community.
There are ponds for catch and release fishing, and to watch turtles pop in and out of, s-l-o-w-l-y.
A nighttime big screen, bring your own chair, movie, to BINGO, and more.
Beach access, with foot showers and incredible moonbeams over the water to nighttime volleyball.
3 different pools, 2 on the ocean side, and one on the sound side, all are waiting for you.
From any home in the community to the beach, it was a minute or 2, you are that close.
Location is everything right?
The pool area offers an incredible restaurant with service on the beach.
Mr. Brindley Tip: “Leave your CC# with the server for the week, and the kids can order (or you can) what you need, when you want on the beach and settle up at the end of the trip!”
Food. Cooking. Take Out at your Outer Banks Beach Rental in Corolla.
Never before have we been so close to having just about every option at our fingertips.
The kitchen in our home was fully stocked (read on to learn more).
Even more, restaurants that are open and thriving are right at the Corolla Light town center which is in the Corolla Light Community.
Hop on your bike, or walk there to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and they deliver too!
These vividly colored buildings offer a bakery, a coffee shop, a place to eat breakfast, drink, grab hot dogs, bbq, and shop at a mini-market!
So much in such a small spot.
I will suggest caution when crossing between these buildings, just based on personal experience.
For those that prefer to bike a little out of the community, out and to the right of Austin Drive, go 4/1o of a mile.
You’ll find exceptional pizza at Corolla Pizza (if you like NY Style with some good cheesy grease! We did!)
Trash Talking about Our Outer Banks Beach Rental
Nope, I am not literally trash-talking, but I am going to talk trash!
Daily, we emptied our kitchen garbage with many of us in the home, it was necessary.
No smells, no dropped food, etc.
Someone in our family always dropped the trash into the exterior cans on the driveway (marked with your house number).
Then another person in my family was in charge of dropping off the recycles at the end of each day.
From there, we did nothing else.
Someone from Brindley Beach Vacation Rentals was on a golf cart and moved the trash containers both up and down from our villa driveway.
Kind of like magic and made life so easy.
Do remember, trash can smell, so make sure you bag it up and tie it off!
Exercise Just Happens, So Sip On That Drink, You are Sure to Walk It Off
Maybe you love to exercise.
Are you an early rise who loves to see the sunrise?
Biking and walking, are those the activities that start your morning with a side of sunshine?
Your walk to the beach and up and down the steps to the beach all count towards your daily step requirements, lol.
Rent bikes or if your rental has them, hop on one.
The Corolla Light Community has fabulous roads (skip the speed bumps) and trails behind the homes.
So many kids biked from the villas to the beach and park their bikes.
Walking from Bodie Court to Austin street, across Ocean Trail to continue on Austin Street, you’ll stumble upon the Currituck Sound.
Keep walking, look for a trail, ‘Nature Trail’, sign to be specific.
Follow it, you’ll find geese and ducks.
An Osprey nest.
Early morning Jet Skiers?
Other bikers.
It goes for a mile and when it runs out, turn around and experience the walk back.
A relaxing walk or bike.
Perhaps because they were not managed by Brindley Beach Vacation Rentals.
You’ll see Currituck Historic Park in front of you instead of behind you.

You’ve found the Northernmost lighthouse in North Carolina.
Actually, it’s also the northernmost in the Outer Banks.

Midnight TO Noon More Your Style?
Soft pillows, comfortable linens (provided or brought from home), and a cozy bed with the ac cranking, more your style?
Do you love watching the sunset, grilling, hot tubbing, tossing back a few brews, or sipping on wine and margaritas till late?
Great, if you want to greet the day at noon you can do that too.
Just make sure to choose the room that the sun does NOT make an early showing in and you are set to go!
Get Heated Up When It Cools Down
Need a little private retreat?
Try the hot tub.
In our villa, it was on the first floor.
After dinner and our celebrated family-mile nightly bike rides, we retreated to the hot tub.
Music, (drinks for me), and time to soak in the day of events and calm for the night.
Cool nights were no match for the heat of the tub and a terrific way to round out busy days of nothing but always fun and lots of suns!
Beachtime Without A Huge Hike & No Parking Issues?
900 ft and we were at the beach, and that includes the boardwalk to the beach.
We rolled our wagon with our supplies (which we could have also rented).
Fast and close.
No cars are needed.
If you do need to drive over, there is a drop-off lot and some parking too, but we never drove due to our proximity.
Make sure to visit the beach by day and by night.
Really, unless you witness how many people visit the beach at night, you can’t grasp the concept.
It’s kicking and a great time to photo sand crabs doing their thing!
Moonbeams atop the glistening water are easily captured by photos and naturally, it’s a great time for a romantic walk.
Shelling by flashlight or just sitting and doing absolutely nothing!

There are no hassles or problems.
And it might’ve been the easiest rental we’ve ever had.
Just making sure that the dishwasher was unloaded upon leaving, the refrigerator turned down, and the garbage was taken out makes things pretty simple.
During Covid-19 the linens were left for housecleaning.
To be brutally honest, I have to say it probably was one of the easiest experiences I’ve ever had and it was by far one of the best ever.
