Each of the next 7 tips will ensure that you make the best possible juice.
That said, each juice will be healthy, as well as free of contamination!
Buy Organic Produce.
I can’t say this enough.
Naturally, it’s not always necessary to purchase organic when it comes to eating produce pieces whole, it is vastly different when you are producing juice instead.
Consider this, you will be ingesting a high concentration of produce, so don’t buy anything for juicing that is NOT organic as this step is essential to the purity and vitality of the drink.
Keeping It CHILL
When you have tasted as much juice as I have, you soon learn that juice is best appreciated, and most tasty when it is COLD.
So, you are going to have to CHILL that product in advance of making it.
The object of fresh juicing is to drink it as soon as it is made, not to refrigerate it.
As you refrigerate the enzymes begin to change.
Don’t.
Instead, chill the produce products prior to juicing so they are cold and refreshing once juiced and you will reap the benefits of the enzymes!
Contamination-Free Work Area
When you are home, often things get overlooked.
The phone rings, you get distracted and suddenly, a dirty work surface might occur.
You are dissuaded from cleaning up when the doorbell rings and you might forget to go back and finish.
Clean your juicing area as though your life depends on it and it does.
No contamination on any surface from the knives you use to cut your fruit and veggies to the cutting board and the juicer.
Use warm soapy water for the basic areas and an alcohol mist that cleans as well.
Follow proper cleaning techniques for your juicer.
Just make sure you clean the juicing area, after using it, and before you use it the next day.
Really, you can’t be too sanitary because contamination creates sickness.

Wear that Sous Chef Hat
Prep your vegetables and your fruits.
Wash each piece, but it’s not just a one time wash.
As you prepare each item, you might be peeling, or seeding and chopping, rinse in between the steps.
So if you peel an apple, and core it, wash it, even if you initially washed the apple.
You’ve got the idea.
In actuality, prepping your fruits and veggies ahead of time to fit into the juicer feed tube will create a faster-juicing process.
Let me put it another way, you’ll get those cold fruits and veggies in your belly faster if you are ready to juice because ou prepped ahead!
All of this is a great segway into a few other tips I want to share.
Chill The Serving Vessels
Yes indeed, I said, to chill those containers you are going to drink from.
Again, cold juice is better!
Often, after my juice vessels have been washed in the dishwasher, I place them right into the refrigerator, empty and waiting to be blessed with vitamin and mineral loaded juice!
Directions Were Written To Be Ready
Just like using a bread maker, there are steps that need to be followed on each different machine.
The same is true when juicing.
So, juice your produce (fruits and veggies) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Naturally, you’ll also want to follow your recipe.
Ingredient Procession: BASE, FLAVOR, GREEN
Well, you are almost a juicing pro at this point and you are about to create a healthy vitamin and mineral loaded juice.
It is pretty much this last step that brings everything above all together and makes the difference in what YOU are about to taste in that CHILLED vessel.
For all that, you will need to create a balance of vitamins and minerals.
However, to achieve this, you will choose a base, flavor, and green.
So, perhaps your base is celery, cucumbers, or carrots?
Follow that by choosing a flavor: Berry, Apple, or Citrus?
Last, add a Green.
Choose from greens like Kale, Spinach, and lettuce!
Never overload any one flavor to keep your juices balanced, nutritious, and flavorful.
Read about vitamins and mineral content in any produce you are particularly fond of.
Also, learn what each fruit or vegetables you tend to use more frequently offer as far s minerals and vitamins.
Do any of them treat illness?
Or should you avoid overusing any of them?
Last and you might have guessed this already, is the most nutritious juice is the one you WILL actually drink.
Don’t combine what you don’t like and don’t buy because of trends.
Use what your palate prefers and you will probably be right on track for gaining a vitamin and mineral loaded juice! ~ Enjoy Dana XO
