There’s nothing like Springtime to bring on the season of Easter. It’s time for daffodils, tulips, hyacinths and wonderful Easter Parties.
Every holiday is an excuse to decorate, but Easter is a double celebration if you ask me because Spring is coming and Easter is a holiday that we celebrate! Light pastel colors, wonderful confections, and tons of friends and family have been my inspiration to create my Easter Party Ideas.
This is the celebration that allows me the opportunity to bring on the pinks, greens, purples and yellows and push the limits of color fun. Lavishly live the holiday out loud and indulge in these can’t miss Easter Party Ideas.

It’s All About Color POP
When I think of a dining area, I just want the room to POP Easter and let me set the tone of fun and welcoming. Candies, party favors and proper table decor all lend a hand in turning an Easter Party into a true Easter Celebration and of course all the right pastels count. Color absolutely sets the tone for the party, room, and fun! Let’s get busy.
Remember gifts for guests and centerpieces that can range from Easter candies to bowls of candy that can be carried away in gift bags! Party favors rule!
Easter Party Ideas
I love finding decor items that meet my wish for color and Easter is the best season for it! I’ll show you in this post how to really stretch beyond your season to gain all the color accent you need.
Start With The Table
When I start in a room, I take into account what area I am working with and what I want to offer. I have always found that my little guests and my kids love up and yum on little finger-sized treats, that they can easily pick up with their little hands and enjoy.
Any great Easter Party starts off with a table cover, paper plates, napkins and other little oddities to make the room welcoming. I also had a table runner, but it was just too much so I opted to eliminate it.
I also decorate the kitchen hutch as it is a focal point and it keeps the room super festive. By adding a hint of color via a multicolor tissue flower garland, I successfully create a room that is just bursting with color anywhere the eye can see, and I love that!
Glitz It Up With Food Fun
After adding on the paper products, it’s time to start adding a splash of color, let’s call it the ‘glitz’ of the party. Shimmery colors, foil covered sweets, any little balls of sweets (jelly beans, etc) do well. It’s all about choice and sensationally glitzy wrappers.
*Tip: Don’t stay tuned into one season all the time, do what I did, buy colorful items a season before or after (I used Mardi Gras Fortune Cookies) because other seasons have fun colors that can donate to your current season adding to the look. Make the display look inviting, by unwrapping some candy and letting other pieces wrapped so snacking can happen and ‘taking’ can happen as well.
Add In The Small Play Decor
As a child, I loved a Chinese yo-yo and so if and when I find them, I grab them in light pastel colors to match with my table and accent all the decor. Quite simply, these draw out the lime green Paper Plates, the Paper Cups, and the cool Easter Silhouette Dessert Plates, bringing the table together. The Shimmer Bright Pink Chocolate Candies look great in martini glasses, and really pop when you add in a bunny straw!
TIP: Use libation glasses to hold Easter Candy it really dresses up the display and it is a container you already have so you don’t need to purchase new! Lavishly live that decor out loud!
Tips & Ideas
The yo-yos are super fun and a great takeaway favor after the party, if they have not been used and abused, lol:) after all, these are great for scaring it out of your cousins, and siblings, like an extend-a-sword! (former Chinese Yo-Yo victim of fun)
By adding in Easter Bunny plastic straws I added more color and again an additional party favor that got snagged by all of our family and friends. The Easter Basket was one of my fav new items this year as the liner comes in and out. I love this because the normal situation is that something always spills and then you have a ruined liner.
No more ruined liners, take it out, wash it, and put it back in. The basket is the perfect size for egg hunts and for filling with taking away treats.
These were my tips and tricks for Easter Party Ideas, as I find food that can be eaten, and decor that can be taken as a ‘party favor’ always make cleanup and parties so much more successful and fun for the hostess and the guests. Lavishly live a great party out loud and indulge in the season of pastels creating an amazing party that your guests will take with them.
Very exciting Easter Party Ideas at great prices, so who’s ready to hippity hop and fill those baskets? Lavishly living holidays out loud and hopping like a bunny to get those Easter decorations.
