How To Make An Easy DIY Christmas Gnome?
You either love or hate gnomes but this easy DIY Christmas Gnome is a lovely piece of holiday decor that you might end up obsessing over and not wanting to gift.
These are inexpensive, yet look much more costly than they are!
So how do you make an easy DIY Christmas gnome? Let’s dig in!
Step 1: Before You Construct A Holiday Gnome Preheat Your Glue Gun.
To make a Christmas Tomte, you’ll want to preheat your glue gun as you will use the glue gun to:
- affix the holiday gnome’s beard
- the Christmas Gnomes nose
- The material atop the bucket
- the Santa hat
Step 2: Make the Holiday Gnome Beard
Next, you will cut the mop head from the fastener and place it into piles and tie those off, and then set it aside.
Step 3: Cover The Gnomes Body
Using the neck gator, or material (you would have to glue gun the material onto the bucket) you’ll stretch it over the bucket and bring it over the top to the bottom.
Next, you can glue any remaining material down on the top.
Step 4: Stuff The Hat For the Holiday Gnome
Using either filler or plastic bags, tissue, newspaper, or whatever you have, fill the cap for the Nisse head so that it stands up.
Step 5: Add the Beard To The Nisse
Now you’ll want to attach the holiday gnome beard pieces to the front and top of the covered bucket, using hot glue.
You’ll want to stagger the alignment of the beard and don’t go too far across the bucket’s face, keeping the beard well-shaped.
Once you attach all the clusters of the Christmas gnome beard, step back and look at the beard, does it need the following
- trimmed on either side?
- should you trim the length in different areas to make it more realistic?
- make any corrections now.
Step 6: Place the Cap on the Christmas Gnome
Position the Holiday Gnome making sure to bring the cap far enough forward to cover the rim, and glue the cap to the rim of the top of the bucket.
Step 7: Add the Nose to the Christmas Gnome
Using a small Christmas tree bulb, or whatever you have, attach the nose of the gnome to the middle of the beard, right under the cap.
