The holidays are here so it is time to get your tresses locked down, and tamed and if you are looking for a simple solution to do this, I have found one. Now, as well all know during this season of perpetual bliss we go a bit hard on our hair, styling and making sure we look just spot on for every function, event and party we have to attend. With that in mind is there a way to lavishly live our hair styling out loud, taming those curls that many of us have and transforming them from crazy to holiday perfect? Hair’s to the holidays.
You have seen my hair both curly and straight. Naturally, I have these curls that happened after child birth and they are whacky, crazy and never follow what I want. My hair gets a mind of its own. Some days I roll with it and other days I make sure that I transform them into what I need! With the holidays close by I know we are going to be going out a lot and I want my hair just right. Get ready for Carol’s Daughter, products that will transform your hair.
Funny little bit of information here: My mom’s name is Carol, and I am Carol’s Daughter, not this particular brand’s daughter, but I thought it was coincidentally funny! Carols’ Daughter offers The Marula Curl Therapy Collection which is what we will take a quick peek at. This collection focuses on renewing your dry, unmanageable curls to transforming and training your curls to spiral into long-lasting perfection,Carol’s Daughter has used the super-softening, rich Marula oil. Marula Oil is a rare ingredient, harvested in South Africa, bringing moisture and nourishment to curls for 12,000 years.
The Scent of this is clean and the Marula Oil restores hair, while the Rose oil soothes hair and the Shea Butter moisturizes, working together to make those curls rock. I tried out the Carol’s Daughter – Marula Curl Therapy Softening Hair Mask. For me, once in a week was plenty, more would have been unnecessary. This actually is a deep-conditioning treatment and it offers extra moisture into the hair and left it feeling soft! Free of Parabens, Petroleum, Mineral Oil and Artificial Colors. You can put this mask on dry or wet, there are two different ways to use this product, depending on the intensity of your hair texture and what you need. IF you put it on dry, you will need to shower to wash it off. If you put it on wet, you want to let it on for at least 5 minutes. Dry allows you to target those really ‘dried up’, ‘fried’ looking pieces of hair, whereas wet you just apply all over the scalp.
The MARULA Curl Therapy Diffusing & Styling Lotion is what I placed on after I washed my hair and before I styled it. It sings of sweet almond oil, and honey making it a delish smell to invigorate and stimulate the senses! I have used this in combination with other products(shampoos) and other name brand products and have had success. This is perfect for air drying which I do often as I don’t like the frizzies I can often get with a blow dryer. You place this in damp hair and let it dry. If you do use a dryer you will also notice that you won’t have as much frizz when you dry your curls out. I do twist my curls with my fingers as I dry(when using a dryer to keep them formed)
Overall – Hair’s To The Holidays
My hair has a bit more stringiness to some of the curls, so often I have to follow it up with a curling iron to make sure that all the hair is curled and that the pieces that have decided not to are tended to. The hair was NOT too soft once I was done, therefore, I found that the product is definitely a usable, repeatable product in my styling regime.
