If nothing else, my life is like a three-ring circus and if you think the headline is cheesy, the story is even better! Over the last 12 days you might have seen my posts about the KIA Sorento I was driving around Florida and where all we have been(me and the car). The KIA Sorento visited Walgreen’s, Olive Garden, Buca Di Beppo, Earl Of Sandwich, Downtown Disney, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Universal Orlando, Hard Rock Orlando, ALDI, Publix and Al Capone’s creating a very busy schedule. We were all over Orlando in this sporty 7 passenger cross-over SUV and we loved how it handled the rode and the great MPG it boasted. Did you know that while we had the car, I was part of a break-in, or so it might have seemed.
When we initially received the KIA Sorento it was known as the VIP Of the Hard Rock Hotel, as it was parked front and center of the hotel’s driveway.
I guess this is where the KIA Sorento adventure really begins, as I drove off to my friend’s home in Orlando, about 15 minutes away from DISNEY. I had never been there, we had just seen pictures and he is never in the states when we are around so we have not had the chance to let the families meet up since he bought his home. I drove to the address listed, got into the key-coded gates and could not believe how easy it was to find his house, it was the second home in.
My husband and I left the kids and my father-in-law in the car, pulled right on into the driveway and began working on the keycode on the box to get in. We were tugging, pulling, and looking in the windows, when suddenly my husband said to me that Fraser had no furniture in the house. My comment, “since when?” We put our codes back in the key pad, tugged, pulled and walked around, and then we realized, we were actually breaking and entering into a home that was not ours or our friends and we jumped into the car and tried to recalculate. We realized we missed the word, LAKE in our address and well, you can only figure from here, that the KIA Sorento was our get away mobile and we were off and running to find the right home.
About one block away, yes only one block away, sat our friend’s home, with the same numerical address(strange right) and we very shyly entered the driveway, left the KIA Sorento doors open(in case a flee was necessary) and then we entered our code and wa-la, the door opened and we were in. The KIA Sorento, now got unloaded, and received a temporary rest before we were off to our next 100 journies around Florida.
As the week ended so did my time with my new favorite 7 passenger KIA vehicle, the KIA Sorento. The Getaway mobile was getting away from me. The GPS on the KIA Sorento, brought me right to the airport, via every back road you can imagine, possibly one of the most crazy drives to the airport I have ever had without traffic. You can see a little of my drive back to the airport on my video and see the inside of the car. So there you have it, an attempted break-in and a get away —- who’d a thunk it for Pittsburgh Frugal Mom.
