We’ve found a Luxury All-Inclusive Aruba Resort For Families.
Luxury All-Inclusive Aruba Resort
The Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort offers mega options and multiple properties with different vibes.
Choosing which Divi Aruba property you want to stay on will be the hardest part of your vacation planning in Aruba.
Writing this article, and reviewing what we learned, makes it crystal clear which DIVI resort we would choose.
The advantages of the All-Inclusive Village Golf, make it tremendously the best value (in our opinion) beyond any other resort.
Remember, however, everyone vacations differently, and DIVI offers something for everyone.
Your question that needs to be answered is, “How do you Divi?” Answer that and book your trip, but first, read and learn!
Consider what I share below, and then BOOK it, because, it is a very popular resort in Aruba and you want IN!
Our Stay – All-Inclusive Aruba Resort With Villas For Families
My family stayed at the Divi Village Golf. Divi Village Golf and the Dutch Village offer the All-Inclusive (AI) option, which is good for families.
In my opinion, it makes it easy for kids and adults to just order and eat and just enjoy their time.
However, there are downsides to AI packages as we all know.
Meaning, if you want to go off-site, you might feel like you are not really taking advantage of your AI program.
Take the downside out of the equation and go for the Mega All-Inclusive, because it gives you the freedom and fab options.
Divi Village Golf provides what I keep referring to as the MEGA AI package.
Our package afforded us the chance at 14 dining options, 13 bars, and 10 pools. Now you get why I call it MEGA because it delivers BIG!
Keep reading, because, in order to really make your AI work for you, you gotta understand it.
You see you get to dine at other Divi resorts and enjoy their pools too!
Understanding AI with Divi Village Golf – All-Inclusive Aruba Resort
What I did not understand before I got to the Divi Golf Resort about the AI package, I now understand.
There are 5 Divi Resorts in Aruba. Each is different and has a different vibe.
All the pools are different and the access to the beaches ranges from walking across the street to expansive.
The Divi Resorts Collection
Here are your options in Aruba: Divi Village Golf, Divi Dutch Village and Divi Phoenix are run by different divisions than the Divi Tamarijn and Divi Divi.
To experience each, food hopping, walking and spending time at each pool is almost a must.
We could because we had what I referred to as the Mega All-Inclusive package*
This All-Inclusive package is ONLY available to those at the Divi Village Golf patrons.
Also, please note, my stay was hosted by Divi Village Golf, so I know more about Divi Dutch, Divi Village, and Phoenix than the others!
As a side note: Divi Dutch, Village Golf and Phoenix are open to the public, so anyone can eat at them.
So, if you want to see if you like the feel of these resorts, make a reservation and dine, then walk off your meal by venturing through the property on a walk.
You might just find your next resort to stay in!
Divi Village Golf – All-Inclusive Aruba Resort
Again, and to be clear, we stayed at the Divi Village Golf.
I am citing this because there are multiple reasons to stay here instead of the other resorts.
The biggest advantage is the mega bracelet of all-inclusive.
For those who love to have an all-inclusive vacation staying at the Divi Village Golf, allows you to be set up with such.
The Bracelet (in black on my wrist) allows you a lot of dining, bar, and pool opportunities, as compared to the other resorts.
Where Next? Stay seated or move about!
When you don’t want to eat at the same place every day, just catch a shuttle or walk across the street.
Boom, you have more restaurants, and pools right within your reach.
Tired of these? Grab the shuttle or walk the path to the Divi Divi or Dutch Village.
Keep things changed up and try it all, or just stay and use one. Choice is power!
Therefore, your most advantageous all-inclusive package does come from the Divi Village Golf Resort.
It is fortuitous in the fact that you can enjoy more than just your resort destination and partake in the offerings at the other Divi destinations.
Where Can You Eat & Drink with the AI Package and a stay at Divi Village Golf
Many of those returning to Aruba, have returned year after year and know the package well.
We were first-timers and I had to quickly learn where to eat and drink (trust me, we made mistakes).
There are establishments on premises that are not at all covered by the AI, as well as those that need a card that shows your room in addition to your bracelet.
Further, you can charge things to your room as you will be providing a Credit Card when you sign in!
Dining and Drinking About at Divi with AI
I’m not placing too high of a value on eating and drinking but you do need to do these to survive.
Therefore, let me share what I experienced and learned.
Restaurants & Bars included with the ‘Mega’ All-Inclusive – Divi Village Package.

All-Inclusive on Divi Village & Divi Dutch vs. All-Inclusive at Divi Divi & Divi Tamarijn
Things you need to know.
The biggest thing to know is that if you dine at Divi Village Golf, and Divi Dutch, you must sign a receipt.
Receipts are stamped all-inclusive (if you are on that package), and you are responsible for tipping (if you choose).
You will also need to fill in your room number and bracelet number.
These include Mulligan’s, Seabreeze, Infinity Bar and Grill, and the Seabreeze Bar. (don’t leave until you have signed these).
Conversely, Divi Divi and Divi Tamarijn are just walk-in, dine, order and go.
If you go to the bar order your drink and food and they hand it to you, and you go. (of course, they look for your AI band).
Your All-Inclusive Aruba Resort Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort Dining
Mulligan’s – Part of the All-Inclusive
We ate here 2 times.
Where Niko Travels has extensive allergies.
Our first experience with this was amazing.
The server Andrew gave us a lot of information even though the place was hopping!
He in fact provided stellar service with a very busy series of tables to tend to!
Situated across from the resort lobby and right at the golf course.
You can eat at Mulligan’s which is more or less a sports bar with a huge menu.
Food options abound, so be prepared to really peruse and narrow down your order.
Pizza You Gotta
The first night we were starved. We went in and ate dinner.
Both Niko and Michael ordered pizza. It was amazing per them!
Will one pizza be enough for two people? Absolutely.
No take out available on the pizza as a side note.
Being honest and open, I’d really love to see this change!
Bar Only? Mulligan’s Has This!
If you want to be inside at a bar instead, you can sit around the interior bar which is generous in seating.
Additionally, you could eat at the bar too. A side note: the wings are yummy!
Order an appetizer and a few drinks. If you have leftovers they will box it up for you to take back to your room.
Dress Code At Mulligan’s
I saw absolutely every kind of outfit head in. Short shorts, to dressier.
The dress here is very casual. Defining casual would be a pair of shorts and a decent T-shirt with sandals.
It’s not really flip-flops and tank tops and bathing suit stop.
Mulligans is actually open until one in the morning so it is your late-night stop!
Seabreeze Bar & Restaurant
The bar offers a happy hour from 5-7 and it gets busy!
You can order from the poolside or step in.
There are a good amount of seats.
Also, since it’s all-inclusive, you could order your drinks and walk across the street to see the sunset.
Atop the bar is a water dispenser in the case that you just want water, so help yourself.
This bar is located right where the pool is. It is not a swim-up.
The Seabreeze restaurant is a restaurant open to both the public and those staying at the golf Divi village.
If you are staying at the golf Divi Village this is an all-inclusive restaurant.
In the very early morning, they serve buffet breakfast for those on the all-inclusive.
The Seabreeze offers foods on the morning buffet like waffles, French toast, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, some sweets, fresh juice, and coffee.
Initially, the server handed us a menu, but then took it back and said we had to go to the buffet.
At lunch, we ordered from the menu, there was no buffet.
Dinner they also offer a buffet for the all-inclusive. In case you already haven’t figured it out it’s open for all three meals.
Breakfast at Seabreeze
Traditional eats such as pancakes, french toast, and fruits.
Additionally, bacon, eggs, juices, and bread.
If you like, grab a banana for the road or an apple to enjoy later on.
It’s all there for the taking.
Coffee is poured.
Since this restaurant opened at 7 am we were here a few times as we started activities early.
Lunch at the Seabreeze.
The menu at the Seabreeze restaurant is not huge but it definitely services itself well.
You will find offers such as salad, chicken fingers, pizza, sandwiches.
We dined on lunch one day while on the property after arriving back from an activity.
Yum from start to finish.
The staff is very attentive to allergies as long as you speak with the general manager of food at each restaurant.
Here we actually spoke directly with the chef and he accommodated Where Niko Travels with a grilled chicken breast.
Additionally, chef-made french fries for Where Niko Travels in a dedicated fryer.
Definitely at Where NikoTravels was well taken care of. Thank you, Chef.
Beach bar across from Seabreeze
Please note this bar is NOT part of the all-inclusive, but you can charge it to your room.
In the mood for music, great scenery, and alcoholic beverages?
Perhaps a snack and a soda? Or maybe some popcorn and a drink?
Walk directly across the street from the Seabreeze Grill and pool.
This is a relatively new bar, and it is right on the beach.
Here you will find the best spot for photographing sunsets and gathering with large groups.
Often there is entertainment, and when there is not entertainment there is nice loud vibing music.
These Dancers were up at the Divi Divi All-Inclusive.
The Fitness Center
Never fear, because right above the beach bar is the amazing fitness center.
In fact, there are multiple ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, and weights.
The view is fantastic at tranquil blue waters and swaying palm trees.
Alternative exercise options
Since you’ve crossed the street you can walk all along what I will refer to as the boardwalk walkway.
There are no shops but there is in the scenery and a large walking trail for you to exercise on. You can walk along the beach, without being on the sand and enjoy the views of waves rolling on in.
We walked miles each morning before we started our day! Why?
It’s a great time to look at all the other properties.
There are different Divi’s in Aruba and while it gets confusing, once you understand it, everything then makes sense.
Divi Village Golf, Divi Dutch Village, Divi Tamarijn Aruba, and Divi Divi Aruba, each off All-Inclusive.
Walk from the Beach Bar to the left (looking at the Sea).
If you were to hang a left at the beach bar on the back end closest to the pier you would see the climbing wall.
Continue walking down that pathway to the left you will come upon the Divi Tamarijn.
We found the pools and the beach here.
Divi Dutch Village
Continue on and move to the interior and you will see the Divi Dutch Village.
Each of the resorts has a completely different vibe.
The Divi Dutch Village offers a swim-up pool, as well as other pools.
You may not even recognize that you have stumbled upon the Divi Dutch Village.
Why? The Tamarijn is the exterior perimeter, whereas the Dutch Village is kind of within the Tamarijn or so it feels.
Cunucu Terrace at Tamarijn
This AI restaurant is really nice.
Not only is it casual but it offers multiple dishes that are sure to please each person in your group.
Before eating, due to Where Niko Travels allergies, we spoke to the chef.
Chef assured us of food options and what to avoid.
We did ask questions such as is there a dedicated fryer, etc., to steer clear of cross-contamination.
Following their directives, Where Niko Travels ate well.
Breakfast buffet at Cunucu
I’ll be honest this was our favorite destination for food in the morning.
A coffee pot is placed on your table, so pour at your leisure.
A food attendant will add more silverware or take it away.
Additionally, the attendant will bring you a pot of coffee, and we loved this! ♥
Not only is the buffet well-stocked and monitored, it has a lot of options.
Foods like, silver dollar pancakes, waffles, French toast, bacon, sausage, eggs made to order, many pastries, and crepes me to order.
Additionally, and one of Where Niko Travel’s favorite finds and his father’s too, were pizza bagels!
Yep, early morning pizza bites!
There were plenty of fruits to choose from including dragon fruit, bananas, apples, blood oranges, grapefruit, watermelon, raspberries, and strawberries.
You simply can’t go wrong with breakfast from here.
Additionally, you can eat basic, like toast and cereal.
Prefer to grab and go? Do that here.
Dress in here is very casual flip-flops bathing suits with cover-ups. At night it’s basically shorts T-shirts and flip-flops.
Here’s a great food tip!
Do you know how when you go on vacation and sometimes you’re really not that hungry but you still want to eat something?
Coconuts Bar near the entrance of the Tamarijn is perfect for this.
Behind it is a swimming pool, where you could order a drink and indulge by watching the water.
Additionally, you can order Panini’s, and pizzas here. The pizzas at this bar offer PERSONAL sized pizzas with four slices!
Did I mention they have little bags of popcorn to enjoy with a drink? Just ask.
You’ll find an entertainment stage, and market place that each of her here.
Want to shop? Go for it, there are plenty of shops here!
From the front of the Tamarijn …. Keep Going Out
From the front lobby, you can catch the shuttle down to Divi Divi another part of the all-inclusive!
The shuttles are marked, as to where they are going, of course, you can ask the drivers or the front lobby desk attendants too!
Visit all the resorts, we did! Let the fun keep moving!
Golf cart shuttles from Divi Village Golf
Since our home base was Divi Village Golf, to get to any of the other resorts, we could either walk or take the golf cart shuttles.
At night, when I was in wedges and a dress, I did NOT want to walk, so we took a Golf Cart Shuttle.
In order to catch the shuttles, we would leave our room and head towards the main lobby in the resort.
Once here, the Divi Resort Shuttle drivers transported us to the Tamarijn, where we would then either stay or transfer to a different shuttle.
It might sound like a lot of work, but it is easy.
Prefer to walk? We did that quite a few times. Really it just mattered on my shoes, lol!
The walk across the street to the Tamarijn is maybe five minutes maximum.
Further, the walk to the Divi Divi is just about the same.
Alhambra Casino is a few steps beyond the Divi Divi, so any shuttle works that is marked Divi Divi or Casino!
If you were going to Divi Divi all-inclusive, but the only shuttle at present is the casino shuttle get on it.
Again, the casino is so darn close to Divi Divi AI that you can walk.
Many people were doing that and we caught on right away.
Therefore you can get to your location without waiting for the next shuttle.
For those of you staying at a Divi Village Golf, as we were, you gotta get to the Tamarijn.
Once there, ask your current shuttle driver or the desk reception to radio to the Divi Village Golf to get your ride.
If you don’t you might be standing there for a while. Also, they might have to call more than once.
Shuttle Drivers Matter
A final note on golf cart shuttles.
Make sure to tip your golf cart shuttle driver.
It seemed to be a big debate for people to tip or not to tip.
We did! A dollar or 2 is great. Your drivers just might remember you better too!
Walking and Drinking – After All, It Is Vacation
A note on walking and drinking. You will note that you will get your drinks at the bar and you might want to hop a shuttle or get back to your resort.
In fact, it is not a problem we often walked with drinks in hand, whether it be alcohol, or soda, or juices.
Don’t spill or become boisterous, but you can keep them in hand.
Don’t Haul A Pool Towel
Towel cards play a very large role at Divi.
You’ll be given towel cards at the beginning of your stay.
Just find a towel hut and exchange the towel cards for towels.
Towel huts are generally in the pool areas. Each of the huts offers different hours.
When you give the towel back, you get a card back. Plain, simple and easy to gain a clean towel.
I also suggest bringing towel clips for your chairs, it is super windy.
The Coffee Corner
The Coffee Corner is not included in your AI, but if you want Starbuck quality coffee this is your stop!
Why did I go here? I wanted coconut milk in my coffee and almond milk and no one else had that.
I don’t drink but a cup of coffee a day, and I love to use coconut milk or almond milk.
The logical choice for me was to seek it out here and I did! After all, a vacation should deliver things you love!
Yep, they have it. It’s not expensive but it’s got limited hours, so make sure to check before you go.
Infinity Pool Bar & Grill ~ Vacation Served
This is a very popular pool spot at the Divi Village.
It’s probably because there is a swim-up bar as well as a hot tub and you can view the golf course.
For those that love iguanas, this is a great place to study them.
It’s so tropical that the little native Iguanas habitat here in clusters!
The iguanas are all over the infinity view side, by the restrooms and cafe. They, in fact, attract a lot of photos.
They kind of remind me of the Parrot in St. Maarten!
We watched one lady move everywhere the iguana did and photo EVERY step. Vacation mode!
They are definitely an attraction but DON’T Pet or feed them, there are signs to remind you who kick to vacation brain.
Bar & Food
The Infinity Pool bar and Grill are amazing.
Your bartenders here make some great drinks and often can be seen creating shot concoctions and passing them out!
There are burgers, chicken strips and salads here.
A Note About Food Allergies and The Infinity Bar
For those with latex allergies, nuts, seafood, etc. or if you don’t eat meat, your choices are limited.
I grabbed a Greek Salad one day and another a nachos another.
Fries were not an option, nor chicken fingers for Where Niko Travels due to no dedicated fryer and cross-contamination.
Where Niko Travels got a burger, and we did not order the fries due to cross-contamination, but they still put them in.
Therefore he did not eat the burger as they were in the same container when we carried it back to our room.
We had to be down the road, so we had hurriedly ordered, but something got mixed in translation.
The burgers are generous in portion and Michael did eat one and said it was delicious.
Just as a point of reference, this may not be suitable if you have food allergy issues.
Bottled water can be found at this particular bar, most just offer cups of water.
Tennis At Divi Village**
For those that love to play tennis, Divi Village is perfect. There are a few tennis pros available and you can schedule a lesson with them!
Lessons are not included in the all-inclusive plan, you arrange them through the pro shop on-premises.
Where Niko Travels got to spend an hour with Renzo rallying the ball back-and-forth!
Not only was Renzo an incredible player but he’s really great with teens!
All-Inclusive Aruba Resort Options to Play Golf – You can!
**Free golf at The Links at Divi Aruba after 3 p.m. Call 297.581.GOLF or book a tee time online!
Golf Lessons with Don Ross ‘FeelGolf’ School**
Michael and I spent time swinging the old golf clubs with Karen, Don’s daughter!
You can too, just sign up for an additional fee and start learning the RIGHT way!
We learned so very much that day. No longer are we, traditional golfers.
Karen, really had us swinging differently and making a difference with each movement.
We took everything we’ve learned and started learning again.
In one hour we learned more than did in all the years we played.
Thank you, Karen!
Our Room at the Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort
All-Inclusive Aruba Resort with Villas for Families
Our room was perfect for a family of 3 as we stayed in a One Bedroom Villa Suite.
Amenities included a rollout bed, 2 patios, 2 full bathrooms, and a full kitchen!
Additionally, we had a private rooftop hot tub and grill.
We just had to take the stairs one more flight up and there it was!
Room Time in our All-Inclusive Aruba Resort
To be so honest, other than showering and sleeping, we were hardly in our room.
Our days were packed with activities from start to finish.
When the days were a little freer, we just walked and discovered.
After all that is the fun of a vacation, diving into discovery deeper in that place right?
Hot Tub Time
Spoiled by a personal rooftop hot tub, we spent many late afternoons up above!
Swaying palms and incredibly blue skies rewarded us daily.
Nightlife – Dine. Drink. Resort Hop. Repeat with the All-Inclusive Aruba Resort
Aruba shines as brightly at night as she does during the day.
The rhythm of live music rolls in just like crashing waves.
Shopping markets with local artisans alternate in pop-ups between all the resorts.
The Alhambra Casino is open until 4 am each morning if you want to play cards or pull slots and then see the sunrise!
Local dances demonstrated by locals happen along the walkway closest to the sea that I previously discussed.
Some nights we just walked from resort to resort enjoyed a beverage and stopped long enough to capture the spirit of the ambiance of each resort.
What’s Close to Your All-Inclusive Aruba Resort? What Else Can You Do?
Guy Bavli** – Add this on to your package with the additional option of dinner at Fusion!
Another night we went to see Guy Bavli, a mentalist after dinner at Fusion.
It’s amazing how a low-tech show can be so in-depth.
Literally, Guy used paper, markers, and a Rubik’s cube and a spoon challenging our minds!
The audience reaction spoke for the show itself.
Wildly popular, Guy was busy taking photos and signing autographs with his followers after!
Daytrips from Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort**
While not part of the all-inclusive Aruba resort pricing, it is ‘all-inclusive’ in the fact that you can SCHEDULE your tour right in the lobby any day at Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort, so it’s that easy!
Work with the concierge to schedule your tours with DePalm. Definitely the best on the island, just like the resort! It’s All-Star!
You don’t want to miss these fun day activities.
I will share a lot more about each activity in an upcoming post. Stay tuned!
On a few different days, we left Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort, via our other host, DePalm Tours.
I gotta tell you, that DePalm Tours offers great transfers to and from the airport (they are on time!)!
Additionally, the tours they can set you up on, really take you on an adventure.
We went below the sea, above the sea, on a Jeep Tour and to and from the Airport with them!
Thanks, DePalm Tours!
Let’s Get Adventurous in ARUBA
Our first expedition was the Jeep safari tour. A few notes about the trip.
Bring a camera, sunglasses, a waterproof bag.
Don’t wear your Favorite anything, you are going to get dirty.
The tour goes in rain or sun.
Weather can impact the Natural Pool stop.
Go for the ride, and anything else is a bonus!
Adventurous families will love this.
You should be in GOOD shape to take this tour for walking up steep, stone steps.
Additionally, uneven terrain means you should wear some solid waterproof shoes.
Slather up with some sunscreen and get ready to have fun! Andiamo!
Submerge in Aruba via Atlantis submarine**
One morning we spent a few hours off the Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort and underwater.
This tour is 50 minutes under the water to 130 feet below.
Since you will be where the ship’s port you can shop as there are vendors.
For those that don’t like TIGHT and confined spaces, this WILL not be for you.
You are arm to arm, and person to person when you are underneath.
We loved it, but you do need to know that space is a premium and you don’t have it in the sub!
P.S. – breath mints are a good thing!
Additional Things To Experience In Aruba** – Not part of your All-Inclusive Aruba Resort
Jolly Pirates Sunset Sail at Moomba Beach
Oh, what fun this 2-hour sail is, especially if you love the water!
Sunsets are best seen on the water and if you have your camera, get ready to snap those photos.
I’ve gotta tell you the transition from night to day happens fast and you can capture it!
Experience great music, a fun Pirate crew, an open bar, and a pirate rope swing.
Take a dip in the water after you plummet off of the pirate rope swing.
Come back in and take another drink for more pirate courage!
It is good for families, couples and groups!
Don’t forget to tip the staff, they work hard. Dress casual (in a suit coverup if you are taking the plunge!).
Spa Day** – Not Part of the All-Inclusive But Needs To Be Part of Your Vacay
I will be sharing this whole day in more depth, but if you are looking for day trips and things to do outside of your All-Inclusive Aruba Resort (Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort), this is an option!
To fully enjoy any vacation, I’ve found that a spa day increases relaxation.
We relocated for one day from the Div Village to the Divi Phoenix.
Our stop was the Pure Indulgence Spa.
Visit here to soothe your mind and soul.
All I can say is relaxation is vacation mode and you should either start here or finish here!
Make sure to book an appointment AHEAD Of your stay, it’s busy and we know why!
Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort is your All-Inclusive Aruba Resort
With so much to do, there are simply not enough vacation days.
From poolside drinks to underwater adventures, there’s a lot to try!
Aruba is exciting and offers something for everyone.
Divi Village is a great resort to visit as it offers everything you need to enjoy within its resorts.
Pools, dining, golf, tennis, activities, fitness and of course sunsets and sunrises like no other! ~Dana XO
