After about 3 years of looking at the television cables that are the bi-products of our flat screen tv that resides on the wall. I have decided it is time to change things. We are remodeling and those wires are ugly and need to go. No more ogling at ugly.
Today we are going to hide tv cables. There will be no more wires to look at, tug at or clean. Instead my wall space will be free of tv cables and the power cord. Yes, this is a very easy DIY. Now my only question is why are these not packaged with all wall-mounted televisions?

You can see what I discovered to get rid of those cables from my flat-screen hanging television. A box that has everything in it I need to complete a simple DIY. The Legrand In Wall Power Kit is installed behind a flat-screen television.
It is easy to route the tv power and the HDMI Cable in-wall. If the box had stated, ‘need electrician’ I would have run the other way, I want to be able to do this myself and quickly.
Guess what? No electrical wiring required. Even if you hate working with electricity no worries, this is not part of what you are doing. The install is not about electricity it is about hiding wires.

Use the tool provided in the box to cut your first hole, easy peasy. No, there is not much of a mess and it took only a few minutes to do this! Why did we not find this sooner?
I do advise having a vacuum to clean up the little bit of debris that will fall to the floor. Really that is not anything out of the ordinary right?

Ready for the 2nd cut? Once this is done, it’s all downhill from here. I promised you this was not going to be hard, but it is ingenious. What a difference it is going to make.

The difference is crazy great. No wires dangling from the television. In fact, you might think it is magically hanging on the wall or that the power is in the wall, but we all know it is not!
Total magic right?
Hiding those tv cables is a definite must. NO more dangling cords, nothing to dust, or end up pulling out by accident. Rather the wires run in the wall from where the television is mounted right below.
The round hole reroutes the cable and you can then plug it into whatever socket is closest. Easy and Done! Now let’s watch tv cord-free!
Fast and easy if you follow the directions. This is pretty much about 2 cuts in your drywall and tucking the wires into the wall. Everything you need is in the kit.
The kit even includes the wall-cutting apparatus. Clear about 30 minutes for this project from start to finish, you might even need less. As you can see the resulting before and after are great. No more wires, YEAH! Now all I have to do is clean up my husband’s fingerprints, and vacuum, lol!
