Air fryers are definitely a blessing in the kitchen. I personally think I would totally be lost without mine.
My boys are growing and in the EAT phase, and running the oven is just not the best thing in the world.
Since they are both athletes, they do eat carbs and some other fun foods.
I make Air Fryer Twisted Parmesan Bread quite often.
The ingredients are constantly changing based on their requests!
Here’s a plus with an air fryer: Teens can easily cook with an air fryer.
There’s no oil in an air fryer so it’s the perfect way to cook and still get crispy, well-cooked food.
One of my Casa Vento go-to recipes is easy air fryer twisted pepperoni bread. I am about to show you why it is in such high demand.
The ingredients are simple, and it’s fast to make. No oven is necessary. Just use your air fryer. Let’s cook.
Easy Air Fryer Twisted Pepperoni Bread
The air fryer is one of the best kitchen appliances you can own, next to the Instant Pot!
First things first, you need an air fryer. You can choose any brand you want.
I have worked with a bunch of different brands and I always go back to the ones not with tiered traying, rather those that are a basket.
This is all personal choice.
Next, this recipe can be amped up all you want.
My boys are simple, meat, cheese, dough, so why make it harder than it has to be?
You know I am all about delicious and easy, so that is what I will share with you.
Make these as big or small, there is no right and no wrong way.
Just play with the recipe to adjust to your personal preferences.
Use my recipe as a springboard to create more fascinating versions of my recipe!
Don’t forget to add in veggies like onions, mushrooms and green peppers, they really kick this up a notch!

Process for Twisted Pepperoni Bread
Since this is such an easy recipe to make, and the ingredients are readily available, it is a go-to in our home.
As far as spices go, choose what spices you like, basil, oregano, parsley, etc.
If you opt not to use Olive Oil, you may yield different results.
We always salt it with Garlic Salt, and you can skip this if you don’t like more salt.
I feel that if we skipped the salt, the bread would never be the same.
TIP for Twisting
Inside the twist, I keep the cheese minimal, so there is less spillover.
METHOD For Twisted Pepperoni Bread in the Air Fryer
You will be working with the dough on a flat surface.
If you are worried about sticking dip your fingers in a bit of flour.
Do not take the dough out of the refrigerator until you are ready to work with it.
Make certain you have pre-heated the Air Fryer.
Don’t use too much flour on your work surface or you will dry out the dough.
Tucking and Rolling the Twisted Pepperoni Bread
One side of the dough you work with will have pepperoni, the other will not.
Conversely cheese in the other.
The key is to fill each dough strip with enough that it does not overload it, but not too little.
Tucking and rolling will be hard at first but as soon as you find your way, it’s a snap to do!
Make sure to crimp along the way and watch my video to see what I am talking about.
Bring the dough side by side and then form an ‘x’ that is your starting point.
Basically you are braiding the dough strips together.
Inside the Air Fryer Basket, I highly suggest using a pastry brush to apply olive oil.
Good luck and enjoy it! ~ Dana XO
