You are planning your trip to Orlando, Florida, but you don’t want to stay on Disney properties because you recognize that even with free services like transportation and free parking at the parks, you can save over 30% staying in a home you have rented. Are Rental Homes In Orlando all that you might expect? Is there a lot of work involved when you are there? Why would you want to rent a home when you could just go to a hotel? Do you have children with food or environmental allergies? Let’s look at Rental Homes In Orlando and the possibilities of getting a good nights’ sleep! This is my personal insider’s opinion on Rental Homes In Orlando as I lavishly live travel out loud.
Rental Homes In Orlando
Do I have personal experience with rental homes in Orlando? Yes I do and this is one home we have stayed in when we visit Disney. The kids loved this rental home in Orlando so much they did not want to leave it to go to the parks, and that is a pretty good barometer of what the rental homes in Orlando are like.
Rental Homes In Orlando are so awesome to stay at for so many different reasons, and space is just the first reason. IF you have teens or parents that are traveling with you, you know that family is great, but eventually you have that need to escape and with the right rental home you have that option!
Me and the House
I am all about my time even though there is plenty of family time, it is not greedy, it is just natural. Full days of play and touring definitely facilitate the need for a bit of time by the pool, a private pool with a glass of wine and some music. My little quirks of being able to keep up on laundry while we are gone, keeps me settled because I know that I won’t have all that to do when we get home, hey we all have our ‘things!” I also love being able to test out different kitchens and take-in the home decor which allows me to get a little more creative in my own home when we return, so this is all perfect.
This is my family and we had plenty of space while we stayed in this Executive Villa as the set up is ideal. What you can’t do at a hotel is all congregate in the kitchen at night and have those midnight snacks or hang out with your parents while hanging out with the kids because everyone would be in separate rooms. Family vacation is ALL about family and you can live it up big in a luxury Executive Villa as your choice of Rental Homes In Orlando are massive. So where will you stay?
The Crew
For years as my husband and I traveled back and forth to Florida, at least before kids, and we would just stay on the Disney properties because that just made sense. Suddenly, one-by-one we had an SUV full of kids and the sleeping quarters were crammed at the on-site properties. Suites were hard to come by and had to be reserved so far in advance that we often missed out and then of course you end up with the two room charge, and you sleep separate from your spouse, oh yes, the joys of travel! We put an end to all the craziness when we travel for more than week at a time as we want everyone together but with ample space. Our solution was easy: Rental Homes In Orlando made it possible to sprawl out and have a vacation within a vacation.
This is just one of many homes we have been in, but we have stayed in so many, some in the middle of orchards and others minutes away from Disney, Universal, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Al Capone’s, Walgreen’s, Publix and so many other shops. Orlando has never been so accessible. The sprawl out factor in this home is over-the-top awesome and there are so many rooms that your kids can pick. Now in our case we were traveling with 8 on a few nights so we needed the space.
Traveling With A Child Who Has Severe Allergies
I have a very special child who has such severe allergies they are life-threatening and our response time is very little. We have to be ever so cautious about where we stay and where we eat and that is why we looked into Rental Homes In Orlando. Basically we can talk to the owner’s or the home managers and make sure that potential allergens are not there(the things he reacts to) and of course we have a kitchen. Why would you want a kitchen? If you have a child with SEVERE food allergies you know that you do not take chances as any cross-contamination can take a other-wise healthy child right to the ER room which ends in bad memories!
OPTIONS FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON’T WANT TO COOK
You may initially protest and decide that you are not going to cook on the whole trip and that is fine, there is plenty of takeout accessible, but there are also bills that go with that take out. Remember, if your object is to relax, and unwind, than a huge hotel bill with lots of dining out excursions on it may not be the big ticket items you were looking to deal with. The truth is, the aftermath of Disney, Universal, and any vacation often gets intensified when you are greeted at home by the bills you created while away.
Is there really a great way to go away to go to Orlando, enjoy all of the attractions and save money? This home had everything we could imagine in it from granite counter-tops to plenty of seating. I used to put the music up, crank open the patio door that led to the pool and rock out while everyone else was swimming! The family gathering room is right off of the kitchen and I prepped up meals, or opened take out from places like Buca Di Beppo, Pizza Hut and Publix. We would all hang out a bit, chat about our days or where we were headed to after dinner.
Some nights we just opened a bottle of wine or those bottles of beer, lounged or everyone retreated to their own rooms for some space to relax. Some of the Rental Homes In Orlando are more lavish and luxury driven than others, so if you want premium lodging look for it, and you will know by the pricing and written descriptions. Again it so much less than staying on property at Disney and the amenities are so much nicer.
A sitting areas in the home, so anyone can sit and catch-up, relax, have a cup of tea or just use their eReader, because did I mention WiFi is a free amenity in most rental homes in Orlando?
This was a 2 story home that has a pool and a ton of space. You can sleep up to 14 and if you bring sleeping bags even more, and the house will still swallow you because it is mammoth. The best way to stay in this home is with 2 families because the fun is endless, the community is pretty and the area is close to everything.
The house did need some fresh upstairs carpet as can see, but other than that the home was well-maintained, including new granite counter-tops in the kitchen area, and fresh paint.
The laundry room is perfectly set for after swimming and that is one of the amenities we look for in the rental homes because the kids spend a lot of time in the pool!
The closet space never ends in most Orlando Home Rentals and you will enjoy the comforts of home away from home and many include free WiFi, brand new flat screen televisions, a computer(don’t drag yours), and a book stacked thick with suggestions on where to go, what to do and when to do it. Honestly, even if you just came and stayed in the home for a vacation you would be Florida Happy!
Master Bath, has toilet, 2 sinks, shower, and tub as well as tons of storage and a large dressing area,
The pool in each and every house as I mentioned is a constant source of amusement and I have to tell you the kids love it because the pools we choose in the homes we stay in have hot tubs attached. While the pool is heated when requested(and purchased), the hot tub is a great end to any day on a vacation as it soaks away all that walking that we did in the parks all day long. I promise you my son does not have a bowl cut, lol, but dunking in and out of the water it looked funny! The Hot tub rocks warmth and the woods behind provides the most beautiful bird calls.
Do I think it is more work to stay in a rental home than on Disney Property? No I do not. There are responsibilities that go with the home, but they are nothing over the top and honestly if you and your partner take care of it together it is a snap to complete.
A few places request that you take the sheets off the day you leave and place the towels in the laundry room, there is really nothing else to it. We placed our trash out on trash night, and every night we had a pool to ourselves, a dining area open 24/7(and with our entire crew there that was important), and private parking in an astute neighborhood.
Home rental is easy for families because kids need space and time to unwind and sometimes hotels don’t let them get their kid on well, but this home does. Rental Homes In Orlando are perfect for adults who just crave vacation time especially after the parks. Family time is fun again when there is space yet community with your own!
Some rental Homes in Orlando rent for a week some for a month, so it will be the luck of the draw. I can tell you once you rent a home in Orlando you will kick yourself for not doing it sooner. Remember every rental home in Orlando is run differently and has different amenities so shop till you drop and look for that home that meets your families wants and needs. My family finds great times when we stay in rental homes in Orlando due to severe allergies both food and environmental and because our kids need a bit of space and so do we. IF you find a Rental Home you like, book it, put that deposit in and mark your calendar. Are you ready to travel and lavishly live travel out loud in rental homes in Orlando? What neighborhoods or communities have you rented in?
