The epic views of the Canadian Rockies that met my eyeballs each morning just motivated me to take on as much as physically possible on this trip of a lifetime. Today’s adventure was a private tour bus ride to take on a Banff Adventure that we will term snowmobiling in Banff.
The scenery along the way is awe-inspiring and an activity to enjoy before we got there and I could not stop snapping photos, I had to control myself, lol. I packed up my snow gear, waterproof boots, and a change of clothes and got ready for some intense snow-kicking activity against a backdrop that still has me talking about it. Get ready for a day of fun adventure against a scenic backdrop second to none and let’s lavishly live to snowmobile in Banff.
Snowmobiling in Banff
The thing you want to know is the road up is not always beautiful but the more snow-covered the road, and the more logging trucks you see the better the snowmobiling as winter has coated the ground!
Today was all about the 1/2 day of snowmobiling and it was the first time I would ever snowmobile. What a fantastic sport and adventure all wrapped into one and total bucket-list worthy. There are a lot of places that offer to snowmobile so you will have your choice of who to go with, we chose this because we had a 1/2 of a day to ourselves and had a commitment that evening.
We were exhausted at the end of our 1/2 day because a mixture of the air and the activity kicked our butts, but I would have gone on all day if I could have!
Getting behind the ‘wheel’ of the snowmobile just empowers the vixen in my and the need for speed and craziness came along with that. While I am not the daredevil I just wanted to go, go, go! Accompanied by a breathtaking, scenic trails, frozen waterfalls, and playtime on the snowmobile I feel like I had been blessed.
SNOWMOBILING For ALL
My husband loved this sport too, it was perfect for feeling so alive and taking in all that nature had to offer! Awesomeness!
We enjoyed a meal before we took off, but I ate very little and drank almost nothing. The sun was so bright and the reflection off of the glistening snow posed a true challenge to all my photos, which will hardly do justice for the surroundings, but bare with me, you will love what you see no matter the color or exposure.
Let’s go. Here is my ride for today and we were fully safety briefed before we left. Ski clothes work well for this adventure, but I totally prefer waterproof boots because you are going to kcik up snow, powder and get on and off of this bad-ass ride to enjoy and photo the world around you as it is so unbelievably awesome.
We started out with our whole group, traveling in a tight pack, and then everyone started getting used to their snowmobiles and well cut it up just a bit!
I snapped a few photos of the mountains behind, and loved meeting all of the people from all over the world that came to enjoy as well!
It was hard to say good-bye and trust me I wanted to take my mobile with me (don’t think the airlines would have allowed that), and just as fast as our adventure began, it ended. The ride home allowed us to rest up before getting ready for our night out!
Personally I am ready to get back over to Banff and take in those Canadian Rockies and of course, the part of lavishly living out loud will include snowmobiling in BANFF. The fantastic outdoors, crested with snow-covered grounds and the roar of a snowmobile beckoning me to jump on and ride into the sunset or to the edge of a snow-covered mountain.
It’s time to travel and sport it up a bit, and Banff offers fantastic snowmobiling, and now I need to test out the ATV Trails in BANFF! Need more travel articles? I have them, check out Puerto Vallarta’s Malecon if you are looking for fun, or a 4×4 ride in the Sierra Madres, and don’t forget the SKYWHEEL in Myrtle Beach, it’s a big world, Travel Deeper. ~ DANA XO
