Tips On Packing For Vegas In Winter Months
Travel is just as much about fashion and style as it is about the destination.
Destination drives the need for different styles and styles are derived from ambiance and environment.
Why would a trip to Vegas be any different? It is not. Fashion rules the Vegas scene by day and night.
Las Vegas dressing is about glamour and glitz by night and by day casual and comfy.
Do you know what to wear? The weather can range from really cool mornings, about 40° to extremely warm afternoons in the high 70°’s, we experience both.
However, the air is cool and dry and not humid, so versatile packing is necessary.
Get ready to pack up and travel to Sin City where the fun starts when you land and does not stop until you go home!
Lavishly live fashion and travel out loud and grab use these tips on what to pack for Vegas in Winter months as a springboard.
IN my opinion, the worst part of traveling is packing. The stress over what to pack, what to leave behind, the fluxing temps, global warming, rain, etc.
Seriously my stress level shoots through the roof. I need some good tips on what to pack for Vegas in Winter months and can’t find any!
To calm, I read, I research the winter and then I pack what I think is right.
Sometimes packing can be a nightmare. One time I do great other times it’s a hot mess.
Today, I believe I have conquered packing because I packed a bit of everything. Each piece is versatile.
However, unless I am going tropical I keep with the darker hues. Last but not least, always pack tanks, as well as glitz.
These pieces can take an outfit from day to night and night-to-day. After all, we are gonna be up ALL night and ALL day having fun!
I better have clothing that can keep up with the time!
The Plane Ride – Cadence Topper – What to pack for Vegas In Winter Months
Plane temps vary, when you first get in it is like a heat fest, then as things calm, and the ac runs you can get chilled.
My answer both to and from Vegas was this Cadence Topper in Olive Green.
Western looking, yet chic, it fits the dress motif over and over.
Just put it on over a tank or a tee, it is virtually impossible to not strike this fashion right!
Lantern Booties Baby! – What To Pack For Vegas In Winter Months
In fact, I paired it up with boots that I dare say are my favorite find this year, the Seychelles Lantern Booties.
Comfortable on the inside and I will confess I wore them walking Vegas one day for about 3 1/2 miles they are THAT awesome.
Soft suede and a design that looks floral (embroidered) and I got tons of compliments on them too!
They are neutral in color and rock jeans of any and every sort. My favorite style against frayed hemlines.
Oh, they are great boots and YOU need them too! Did I mention I just slip them on, there is nothing else to do making them the Go-To bootie!
Sweater and Lace – What To Pack For Vegas In Winter Months
I love sweaters that I can literally just slink into and they appear perfect. When I put on a pair of jeans and boots, I just want an effortless sweater.
Meet my Isabeau sweater in Navy Blue. Versatile, lightweight and perfect for cool Vegas nights or cooler days.
It is a mix of materials: cotton/cashmere/nylon, etc. It is washable, which I love and it does not lose its shape after washing or shrink.
Trust me on this, it has been my go-to piece over and over, not just in Vegas.
What makes the Isabeau my fav? The trimmings, or the wide lace border, because it covers my ‘butt’ gracefully and of course those sleeves are exquisite.
I hate tight sweaters, those days are so long gone for me, but I love a nice fitting sweater that does not lose my shape and this is the answer to both!
Tanks Are Key – It’s Vegas!
Soft Drapey Tank
You all know I love my Zazzle so to speak and this soft drapey tank is key to a successful Vegas wardrobe.
The embellished silver can be worn day or night and that is important. Sometimes we would run late to get to a place that required a tad more ‘dress up’ .
Now, this is the shirt that came to my rescue. When layered under a light overlay totally rocked it, you can see why.
My suggestion is to buy the size you normally do and no bigger. Really it fits true to size and wears it with washed-out ripped jeans.
Machine washable and totally packable, your Vegas wardrobe is taking shape!
This soft layering tank flows from a shirred, raw-edge neckline to a flattering, longer-length A-line. Viscose/spandex is deliciously drapey. Misses 28-1/2″ long.
Day To Night Tunic – What To Pack For Vegas In Winter Months
Yes, this was my favorite piece to wear in Vegas. Why? because I could layer it in the morning with an additional tank and later take the tank off or the tunic.
It offered covered shoulders or not covered shoulders.
Guess what, because of its versatility (there’s that word again) I could go from walking the strip sightseeing during the day.
By night, with no time to change, all I did was switch-out the booties and head to our favorite upscale bars.
Fantastic. Don’t forget to accessorize the neckline with a necklace! Think bar scene versus sightseeing perfect.
There’s a zipper down the middle so you can take it off or keep it zipped up tight for those cooler mornings and night Vegas winters are known for.
The thicker straps make it easy to layer without taking away from the look. I loved it in black and will get another color as well!
Footwear – What To Pack For Vegas In Winter Months
I’m so in love with the Metallic look and loved these against the sunlight. Metallic offers a bit of dress-up style without effort.
It takes leggins to a new level! Plus, these are more muted so they fit well into ‘not summer’ apparel.
Drop them in your luggage and find some leggins to go with them!
I should have bought a pair of metallic in every color they offered, just kidding(JK). I wore these days and night walking in Vegas.
Trust me, the walking in endless and comfort is key.
Do wear them with shorts, ankle crops or cuffed up jeans. Style them with black jeans and accessorize with rose gold necklaces to pull the look together. I did!
Dressed up With A Side of Glamour
Evenings in a few upscale restaurants call for appropriate attire. The overlay is the story here, honestly. Very feminine and light!
It is light and flowing and my shape (or lack of) was shielded! AMEN! I call these peek-a-boo sleeves just enough to let them show but now enough to be offensive.
Simply pair it with bone tone heels or for a little more glitz pair with silver or gold heels.
