Hey Guys, it’s MJ the teen travel pro from Pittsburgh. I travel a lot around the world with my mom, she’s a travel and food writer.
You already know her, that’s why you’re here!
After I talked about Bonaire a lot to my friends I found out that a lot of other teens have questions.
What I am quickly learning is that I have a big secret other need to know.
Bonaire is perfection for teens if you know where to say.
Today I will share with you the best teen-friendly resort in Bonaire so you can get your family to go there too!
Just so you know, I base my opinions on places if they are all-inclusive, clean, offer good and plentiful food, a staff that understands teens needs, and offers plenty to do.
Ready to find out where the best resort in Bonaire is?
Best Teen Friendly Resort In Bonaire
Before I start I got to Bonaire recently because my mom was here on business.
Me,I was here to hang, I mean what else do teens do?
My job was to take it all in, and see if we actually would want to come back again?
In case you don’t know the location, it is the Divi Flamingo Resort.
Love the name, and respect to the resort.
Now, why should I have to work when mom works?
I mean if she can’t enjoy it because she is working someone has to take on the hard life of enjoying it all.
In the end, we are here to enjoy ourselves. I am!
What I learned from the experience is that great staff, good activities and great eats are just the beginning of Resort Life in Bonaire.
Resort Life
Taking a walk, INSIDE the resort because my parents said I had to stay on the grounds.
SO I walked and I ran into this Life-Size Chess Board. Does anyone want to play?
The Pool Is Cool x 2
WiFi is not available at every resort, but dudes, I totally needed to connect and do what we all do Snap, and IG.
A lot of the countries and islands have traveled to do not offer the WiFi thing, which is so not TEEN Friendly, but Divi Flamingo had it going on strong like the sun shining.
Me, The Cabana and WiFi, just Teen Perfection.
Pool 2 -Yes there are 2 Pools
Stay Cool here, it is pool 2, super close to the Dive Shop, so you do not miss your Dive or Snorkel time.
The Yellow Building is the dive shop.
Staff & Being Cool With Teens
See the staff, they get teens.
That’s Celine, and she was talking to me and my sister and brother.
Face to face and telling us all the amenities we had available to us.
How cool is that? We knew what we had available to us!
If the staff does not get us, I don’t want to be there.
We have been in a lot of places that tell my mom to bring the kids and they are so rude to us, not here.
Divi Flamingo has teens staying there and is perfection.
Eating Good & Feeling Good – All-Inclusive Resort Life
Belly on strike.
That’s what happens when you get a lot of fresh air and have the need to feed.
No worries,.
The Divi Flamingo Resort has a great open-air restaurant with TEEN craveable foods.
I got a burger, bbq sauce, fries, and onion rings. Endless soda and I was set.
That’s my killer burger!
I am definitely an aficionado of burgers. NO matter where we go, I chow down on burgers.
Filling Up On The Goods
Here’s something you need to know about me like Niko has his favorite food and wish list (Popcorn) I have mine.
If every place we stayed gave me a piece of key lime pie like this, it would be teen heaven.
Oh, How I love Key Lime Pie. This is the BEST key lime pie I have ever had.
The graham cracker was awesome, the balance of flavor between tart and sweet was just yum.
If you are at the resort on the all-inclusive plan your meals are included and we were.
Guess what, I ate and ate and ate.
The Diving Thing – It’s A Teen Friendly Resort with this kind of fun
We went snorkeling, this is part of the all-inclusive package.
Divi Flamingo Resort has won awards for their diving and their snorkeling location crushes it.
I have snorkeled in Puerto Vallarta, but that pales in comparison to here. Klein island here we come!
On Our Way To The Boat – Teen Friendly Resort In Bonaire
Here we are, me and my teen siblings on the way to Klein Island, ready to dive on into snorkeling.
These people were so nice too, they were telling us so much about our upcoming water experience.
That’s why I love being out of Pittsburgh, people are actually not miserable and they talk to teens.
The Island, but note you will not make it to there because there is FIRE Coral is there it will burn your skin and OUCH!
You will snorkel all around it though. Seriously you gotta respect the underwater marine life and the environment.
It is just something, so amazing about being underwater and looking above and below.
It’s a getaway, a momentary miss from the everyday grind.
You totally forget everything else, because it is so mesmerizing.
Teen Friendly Resort In Bonaire & Snorkeling
That’s me, getting ready to go in and when I came out.
The tip of the island you see there is how far me and my dad snorkeled too, it is a great time.
What I have to tell you is that where the guy in the water is (my dad) there is a drop off the ledge of 7000 feet.
Seriously one minute you are in 5 feet of water and the next there are 6500 feet below you, totally a wild time and TEEN satisfying for adventure.
The boat dudes were cool and super funny.
They literally entertained us on the ride off chatting with stories, it is about 15 minutes from the resort.
The weather was up and down today.
One minute the sun was shining so bright and the next it got so dark.
You can tell from these pics, and I thought I would explain why.
Me and my dad, snorkeling away.
We did this for about an hour.
My mom would call out from above if we got too close to the coral or the island.
Best of the Best IN Bonaire
So, remember unlimited snorkeling, unlimited eats, and drinks.
Plenty of pools and beaches and of course a staff that is cool.
Don’t forget if your parents don’t feel like going out to snorkel as much as you, there is a House Reef, right behind where I ate, on the premises.
You go steps into the water and can snorkel while your parents drink and hang on the boardwalk area or deck. Tons of fun in Bonaire.
**I was a hosted guest at the resort, my opinions and images are my own.
I am MJ Vento a teen travel writer. Travel is a pure adrenaline rush from the time we get to the airport to each adventure. I am always looking for the best burgers and pizza after all at 6 feet tall, my stomach always needs to eat. If you are a destination offering adventures (ziplining, quads, snorkeling, etc), coasters, or an all-inclusive resort where I can just hang, I’d love to talk to you about visiting. Talk to me.
