In fact, I am not sure what I did before I owned an air fryer.
The fact that the food in the fry basket gets cooked from every angle is one thing I love.
However, its rapid cooking also always blows me away!
With teens to feed, my air fryer is in high demand but the turnaround is amazingly rapid.
My simple breakfast on a stick recipe is one that we use often and I am sure you will too!

My kids love breakfast on a stick, and this recipe delivers breakfast on a stick fast and easy.
What’s best is I know what I am putting into the food rather than those boxed frozen versions with tons of crap in them.
I am in control of the ingredients be it good or bad, it is still a treat that they enjoy on the occasion.
What I love best, is the simplicity of the ingredients, and I am sure you will too.

No Oil is needed in about 90% of the recipes I make.
The other ten percent require just a spritz.

There are so many other ways to make this same food in the air fryer, but this was the path of least resistance for me.

You Are In Control Of What’s Inside your Air-Fried Breakfast on a Stick
In fact, the ingredients are no worse for you than those packaged and frozen.
The difference here is we are making them fast, and they are not being reheated after being cooked, unlike their freezer counterparts.
You are in control of the ingredients so if you want to use TURKEY Sausage or even TOFU sausage go for it!
Change it up, use this as a springboard to future creations!
Breakfast on a stick is great for any day and of course any night that you want breakfast for dinner instead!
Finally, I like 8″ wooden skewers they are long enough to help and short enough to not overtake the wrap.
**Update, you don’t need to add the skewers until the END after you take the air fryer breakfast sausage wraps out of the air fryer basket!
3 Simple Ingredients Make the Air-Fried Breakfast Sausage and Cheese Wraps possible
There are no fancy ingredients inside my breakfast on a stick, but when you taste it, you might think there is.
You will be using crescent roll dough, as well as sausages and American cheese.
Again, all of these items are optional and can be substituted, as these are not the only ingredients in the world, lol!
Prep is easy for your air fryer breakfast sausage wraps
Here, I’ve shared with you an image of my prep.
There’s honestly not much to it.
If you can prepare a refrigerated premade crescent roll, you can make this breakfast on a stick!
You will need a flat, clean surface to work on.
You’ll be actually unpacking most of the ingredients ahead of creating and you will also need space to roll up the sausage wraps.
Tips To Successful Preparation.
Do make sure to separate each crescent roll so that you can make all 8.
If you let the crescents sit out too long they will get difficult to work with.
Also, you will want to cut the cheese (if you are using it) and have the sausage ready to go (unpackaged).
More or less you will just be rolling the crescent out, filling it, and then rolling it back up.
What I want to remind you of is pinching the ends to keep this sealed.
Additionally, you can air fry this wrap without the stick and then put it in at the end.
Depending on the sizes of your air fryer you may be able to place all 8 in or just a few at a time.
You’ll want to preheat your air fryer, and you may want to read my air fryer rules.
Once you are done air frying the wrap, you will then add the wooden skewer.
Do make sure your wooden skewer gets into the sausage and that you have one that is not toothpick thin or it will snap and break and your wrap will fall to the floor (boo hoo!)
Use all the traditional condiments like BBQ, Ketchup, or Syrup for dunking. Yum. Enjoy.

Air Fryer Breakfast Sausage Wraps
- 8 Heat N’ Serve Sausages
- 2 Pieces American Cheese cut into ¼’s
- 1 Can of 8 count Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
- 8 Wooden Skewers
- Syrup Ketchup or BBQ for dipping.
- On a flat surface, separate Crescent Rolls.
- Open Sausages
- Cut Cheese
- Place One Crescent Roll on the surface, unrolled.
- Work from Wide Triangle To tip of the triangle.
- Add sausage and cheese strip to the Widest part of the crescent roll.
- Pull Each end over sausage and cheese.
- Roll and tuck the rest of the dough until you reach the tip of the triangle.
- Make sure to pinch all the dough.
- Place up to 4 of these in Air Fryer.
- Select 380° for 3 minutes (or 4 until golden brown)
- Remove and add in skewer.
- Tray and serve with BBQ, Ketchup or Syrup for dunking.
PREP TIME TOTALS
- Prep Time: 5 Minutes
- Cook Time: 3 Minutes x 2 batches = 6 minutes
This recipe is so easy and you can create these in batches of 4 so in about 12 minutes you can have enough to feed a family!
