KIA Sorento In Florida

January 29, 2014 By Dana Vento 3 Comments

I once met someone that poked fun at my maiden last name and informed me that all last names that ended in vowels were Italian.  Not that it matters, but that is so not the truth, just because a last name ends in a vowel does not make it Italian.  Fast forward a few years , and I married  an Italian and as fate would have it, my last name ends in a vowel again(lol).  Now, I am in Florida(it’s Italian here right?) and I am driving in around in my favorite Italian car, a KIA- I mean Florida and KIA end in vowels so they have to be Italian.  Here’s to lavishly living transportation out loud and traveling well.

Tonight, you might have seen the KIA Sorento as we stopped into the local Olive Garden for a bite to eat.  The weather has been a little cantankerous, as it was cold, windy, rainy and does not feel much like Florida  weather.  We stopped our visit at Hollywood Studios today because the rain and the cold were too much to tolerate and we salvaged the day with a good swim in a heated pool and hot tub and then a retreat to a nice Italian Family Dinner.

The spattering is RAIN and the bright orange light is the sensor

Again, I have to tell you about the Blind Spot Mirror advantage.  Have you ever driven on dark, wet, rainy roads, where you are lucky to see the road, and you can barely see what is in the lane next to you? Well, we have been experiencing exactly that with the weather and the Blind Spot Mirror Sensors are making all the difference.  These sensors are dead on letting you know when there is a car on your left or right side blind spot and they illuminate when there is someone in that zone.  You simply don’t merge when that sensor comes on, but if you wait till it goes off, you have enough travel space to eek the car into the next lane, a GREAT safety feature.

What else do I love in this car? I love the fact that the MPG is not a guessing game and it reads out to let you know how you are doing with gas.  In addition, I love how easy the trunk goes up with the tap of the key and that it closes with the touch of a button.  We have used this endlessly loading and unloading backpacks and souvenirs from the parks.  Ease of use and the ability to maneuver into any parking spots are prime features you will find in a KIA Sorento

When you want a little Italian, or possibly just a car that will really rock the road and transport up to 7 people, check out the KIA Sorento.  I will continue the adventure tomorrow.  I wonder if I will see you and you will see me as I drive around Orlando in the KIA Sorento and I lavishly live travel out loud!
