I’ll keep this article short and sweet.
You are going to need peaches.
Let them ripen.
Make sure there are no blemishes on them because that’s not what you want for this recipe.
Blemished peaches can be used in baked goods as they bake down and change the texture.
Here, you will want, a blemish-free, unbruised peach.
Rinse it.
Pat it dry.
Slice the peaches it into large wedges, then chunk it into bite-size pieces.
Make sure to nibble along the way, you can always cut a second peach if you run out, just saying.
Peach Caprese Salad And Balsamic
Homemade Balsamic glaze is easy to make, albeit a tad time-consuming.
However, I love making my own, and I make it and store it.
You can too.
That said, there is also NO reason you have to make Balsamic glaze.
In fact, balsamic glaze is readily available in most grocery stores and big-box retailers.
If you can find a balsamic glaze you like there, go to Amazon for Balsamic Glaze.
There are a lot of different ‘flavors’ of balsamic glaze, use one that would taste good against a peach.
From Strawberry balsamic glaze to blueberry balsamic glaze it’s all good.
Use leftover glaze on chicken, and seafood after grilling, you’ll love it.
Get Cheesy With This Salad
Fresh mozzarella is a must.
At its core, fresh mozzarella can make or break this salad.
You are not using ‘fresh’ mozzarella that is in a cube, that’s for pizza.
Literally, fresh mozzarella offers a milky flavor and comes in balls or logs.
Often the balls are in the water, that you can purchase either in the dairy section (eh) or fresh from the deli case (yes!)
It’s pricey but well worth the flavor upon delivery into your mouth.
In other words, it’s palate-pleasing, yummy, and highly addictive.
Once you’ve had it, your food world will change!
My husband’s family in Italy makes fresh mozzarella and I am in love with theirs.
Since it’s not available here, well, I buy the balls in the water.
P.S. >>Fresh Mozzarella is lower in calories and sodium, which makes it a hero compared to other cheeses.
Buy small or large.
Small balls of fresh mozzarella only need to be 1/2’d.
However, the larger balls, need to be cut into many more pieces to achieve uniformity in both presentation and bite-sized chunks.
