Turning 16 is such a huge marker for a teen, it is like a rite of passage into an unknown world, where the child is older and able to make some decisions, but not quite an adult just yet. I have been working on a surprise party for my 16 year old daughter.
While creating a surprise party may seem hard, it is even harder to find something to commemorate her 16th birthday that is a keepsake, yet stay within a reasonable price ranger. There are not a lot of options out there for the 16 year old.
I have been seeking the hard-to-find perfect item for her that will commemorate her birthday and let her remember that 16 was sweet, special and just at the beginning of what her life is going to be. It’s not hard to find sites that will help you create a memory, but if you want them locally, make sure to read on. After all your teen is your star, celebrate it on the cover of a magazine. Commemorate the beginning of a new beginning and let them shine making their life come to LIFE on a fake Magazine Cover.

Here’s a few places you can find some inspiration for making Magazine Covers: Walgreen’s, Prints at Sam’s Club too! You don’t need to spend a lot to get great results, remember it is a memory, not an artifact.
Why make a fake magazine cover? It allows you to make your child a star and the price is ‘consumer-friendly’. Make your teen feel like they own the world and place them on a cover of a magazine.
The sites are easy to work with, in fact, you generally just choose a template and plug in an image, and that’s it! There is nothing labor-intensive on your end, it is a few minutes of information entered and you are on your way to creating a keepsake for your child.

Honestly, it was really easy to do, just make sure you know your kid well, what they like and dislike and fun little sayings they might make. My daughter loves flip flops, texting, singing and more, so it was easy to make a headline for her and get creative with the words.

The lavishness of celebrating the Sweet 16 allows us to commemorate a milestone while providing us the truest sweetest memories which become stepping stones for the next year.
